We report the discovery of a planet transiting a moderately faint (V=12.3 mag) late F star, with an orbital period of 3.92289 +/- 0.00004 days. From the transit light curve and radial velocity measurements we determine that the radius of the planet is R_p = 1.40 +/- 0.06 R_Jup and that the mass is M_p = 0.78 +/- 0.09 M_Jup. The density of the new planet, rho = 0.35 +/- 0.06 g cm^{-3}, fits to the low-density tail of the currently known transiting planets. We find that the center of transit is at T_c = 2454417.9077 +/- 0.0003 (HJD), and the total transit duration is 0.143 +/- 0.004 days. The host star has M_s = 1.28 +/- 0.13 M_Sun and R_s = 1.32 +/- 0.07 R_Sun.

HAT-P-5b: A Jupiter-like hot Jupiter Transiting a Bright Star

We report the discovery of a planet transiting a moderately bright (V = 12.00) G star, with an orbital period of 2.788491 +/-0.000025 days. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 1.257 +/- 0.053 RJup. HAT-P-5b has a mass of Mp = 1.06 +/- 0.11 MJup, similar to the average mass of previously-known transiting exoplanets, and a density of rho = 0.66 +/- 0.11 g cm^-3 . We find that the center of transit is Tc = 2,454,241.77663 +/- 0.00022 (HJD), and the total transit duration is 0.1217 +/- 0.0012 days.

HAT-P-10b: A light and moderately hot Jupiter transiting a K dwarf

We report on the discovery of HAT-P-10b, the lowest mass (0.46 +/- 0.03 MJ) transiting extrasolar planet (TEP) discovered to date by transit searches. HAT-P-10b orbits the moderately bright V=11.89 K dwarf GSC 02340-01714, with a period P = 3.7224690 +/- 0.0000067 d, transit epoch Tc = 2454729.90631 +/- 0.00030 (BJD) and duration 0.1100 +/- 0.0015 d. HAT-P-10b has a radius of 1.05 +(0.05)-(0.03) RJ yielding a mean density of 0.498+/-0.064 g cm^-3 . HAT-P-6b: A Hot Jupiter transiting a bright F star

In the ongoing HATNet survey we have detected a giant planet, with radius 1.33 +/- 0.06 RJup and mass 1.06 +/- 0.12 MJup, transiting the bright (V = 10.5) star GSC 03239-00992. The planet is in a circular orbit with period 3.852985 +/- 0.000005 days and mid-transit epoch 2,454,035.67575 +/- 0.00028 (HJD). The parent star is a late F star with mass 1.29 +/- 0.06 Msun, radius 1.46 +/- 0.06 Rsun, Teff ~ 6570 +/- 80 K, [Fe=H] = -0.13 +/- 0.08 and age ~ 2.3+/-^{0.5}_{0.7}Gy. HATNet Field G205: Follow-Up Observations of 28 Transiting-Planet candidates and Confirmation of the Planet HAT-P-8b

We report the identification of 32 transiting-planet candidates in HATNet field G205. We describe the procedures that we have used to follow up these candidates with spectroscopic and photometric observations, and we present a status report on our interpretation of the 28 candidates for which we have follow-up observations. Eight are eclipsing binaries with orbital solutions whose periods are consistent with their photometric ephemerides; two of these spectroscopic orbits are singled-lined and six are double-lined. HAT-P-3b: A heavy-element rich planet transiting a K dwarf star

We report the discovery of a Jupiter-size planet transiting a relatively bright (V = 11.56) and metal-rich early K dwarf star with a period of about 2.9 days. On the basis of follow-up photometry and spectroscopy we determine the mass and radius of the planet, HAT-P-3b, to be M_p = 0.599 +/- 0.026 M_Jup and R_p = 0.890 +/- 0.046 R_Jup. HAT-P-4b: A metal-rich low-density transiting hot Jupiter

We describe the discovery of HAT-P-4b, a low-density extrasolar planet transiting BD+36 2593, a V = 11.2 mag slightly evolved metal-rich late F star. The planet's orbital period is 3.056536+/-0.000057 d with a mid-transit epoch of 2,454,245.8154 +/- 0.0003 (HJD). HAT-P-1b: A Large-Radius, Low-Density Exoplanet Transiting one Member of a Stellar Binary

Using small automated telescopes in Arizona and Hawaii, the HATNet project has detected an object transiting one member of the double star system ADS 16402 AB. This system is a pair of G0 main-sequence stars with age about 3 Gyr at a distance of ~139 pc and projected separation of ~1550 AU. HAT-P-7b: An Extremely Hot Massive Planet Transiting a Bright Star in the Kepler Field

We report on the latest discovery of the HATNet project; a very hot giant planet orbiting a bright (V = 10.5) star with a small semi-major axis of a = 0.0377 +/- 0.0005 AU. Ephemeris for the system is P = 2.2047299 +/- 0.0000040 days, mid-transit time E = 2,453,790.2593 +/- 0.0010 (BJD). Photometric follow-up of the transiting planet WASP-1b

We report on photometric follow-up of the recently discovered transiting planet WASP-1b. We observed two transits with the Wise Observatory 1m telescope, and used a variant of the EBOP code together with the Sys-Rem detrending approach to fit the light curve. Assuming a stellar mass of 1.15 M_sun, we derived a planetary radius of R_p = 1.40 +- 0.06 R_J and mass of M_p = 0.87 +- 0.07 M_J. An uncertainty of 15% in the stellar mass results in an additional systematic uncertainty of 5% in the planetary radius and of 10% in planetary mass. The Transit Light Curve Project. VII. The Not-So-Bloated Exoplanet HAT-P-1b

We present photometry of the G0 star HAT-P-1 during six transits of its close-in giant planet, and we refine the estimates of the system parameters. Relative to Jupiter's properties, HAT-P-1b is 1.20 +/- 0.05 times larger and its surface gravity is 2.7 +/- 0.2 times weaker. Although it remains the case that HAT-P-1b is among the least dense of the known sample of transiting exoplanets, its properties are in accord with previously published models of strongly irradiated, coreless, solar-composition giant planets. Refined parameters and spectroscopic transit of the super-massive planet HD147506b

In this paper, we report a refined determination of the orbital parameters and the detection of the Rossiter-McLaughlin effect of the recently discovered transiting exoplanet HD147506b (HAT-P-2b). The large orbital eccentricity at the short orbital period of this exoplanet is unexpected and is distinguishing from other known transiting exoplanets. XO-5b: A Transiting Jupiter-sized Planet With A Four Day Period

The star XO-5 (GSC 02959-00729, V=12.1, G8V) hosts a Jupiter-sized, Rp=1.15+/-0.12 Rjup, transiting extrasolar planet, XO-5b, with an orbital period of P=4.187732+/-0.00002 days. The planet mass (Mp=1.15+/-0.08 Mjup) and surface gravity (gp=22+/-5 m/s^2) are significantly larger than expected by empirical Mp-P and Mp-P-[Fe/H] relationships. Wide-field millimagnitude photometry with HAT: A Tool for Extra-solar Planet Detection

We discuss the system requirements for obtaining millimagnitude photometric precision over a wide field using small aperture short focal length telescope systems, such as are being developed by a number of research groups to search for transiting extra-solar planets. HD147506b: A Super-Massive Planet in an Eccentric Orbit Transiting a Bright Star

We report the discovery of a massive (Mp = 9.04+/-0.50 MJup) planet transiting the bright (V = 8.7) F8 star HD 147506, with an orbital period of 5.63341+/-0.00013 days and an eccentricity of e = 0.520+/-0.010. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 0.982^{+0.038}_{0.105}RJup.
