We discuss a generalization of Kummer construction which, on the base of an integral representation of a finite group and local resolution of its quotient, produces a higher dimensional variety with trivial canonical class. As an application we compute cohomology of some generalized Kummer varieties.

Integral cohomology of the Generalized Kummer fourfold

We describe the integral cohomology of the Generalized Kummer fourfold giving an explicit basis, using Hilbert scheme cohomology and tools developed by Hassett and Tschinkel. Then we apply our results to a IHS variety with singularities, obtained by a partial resolution of the Generalized Kummer quotiented by a symplectic involution. We calculate the Beauville--Bogomolov form of this new variety, presenting the first example of such a form that is odd.

Double integrals on a weighted projective plane and the Hilbert modular functions for $\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{5})$

The aim of this paper is to give an explicit extension of the classical elliptic integrals to the Hilbert modular case for $\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{5})$. We study a family of Kummer surfaces corresponding to the Humbert surface of invariant $5$ with two complex parameters. Our Kummer surface is given by a double covering of the weighted projective space $\mathbb{P}(1:1:2)$ branched along a parabola and a quintic curve. The period mapping for our family is given by double integrals of an algebraic function on chambers coming from an arrangement of a parabola and a quintic curve in $\mathbb{C}^2$.

The overarching finite symmetry group of Kummer surfaces in the Mathieu group M_24

In view of a potential interpretation of the role of the Mathieu group M_24 in the context of strings compactified on K3 surfaces, we develop techniques to combine groups of symmetries from different K3 surfaces to larger 'overarching' symmetry groups. Hyperkähler fourfolds and Kummer surfaces

We show that a Hilbert scheme of conics on a Fano fourfold double cover of $\mathbb{P}^2\times\mathbb{P}^2$ ramified along a divisor of bidegree $(2,2)$ admits a $\mathbb{P}^1$-fibration with base being a hyper-Kähler fourfold. The symmetries of the tetrahedral Kummer surface in the Mathieu group M_24

We provide a method, based on Nikulin's lattice gluing techniques, which identifies the symplectic automorphisms of Kummer surfaces as permutation groups on 24 elements preserving the Golay code.
