Particle creation in spacetimes with a warped extra dimension is studied. In particular, we investigate the dynamics of a conformally coupled, massless scalar field in a five dimensional warped geometry where the induced metric on the 3--branes is that of a spatially flat cosmological model. We look at situations where the scale of the extra dimension is assumed (i) to be time independent or (ii) to have specific functional forms for time dependence. The warp factor is chosen to be that of the Randall--Sundrum model. With particular choices for the functional form of the scale factor (and also the function characterising the time evolution of the extra dimension) we obtain the ${| β_k|}^2$, the particle number and energy densities after solving (wherever possible, analytically but, otherwise, numerically) the conformal scalar field equations. The behaviour of these quantities for the massless and massive Kaluza--Klein modes are examined. Our results show the effect of a warped extra dimension on particle creation and illustrate how the nature of particle production on the brane depends on the nature of warping, type of cosmological evolution as well as the temporal evolution of the extra dimension.
From the perspective of four dimensional effective theory on a two brane warped geometry model, we examine the possibility of "bouncing phenomena"on our visible brane. Our results reveal that the presence of warped extra dimension lead to a non-singular bounce on the brane scale factor and hence can remove the "big-bang singularity". We also examine the possible parametric regions for which this bouncing is possible.
In a warped 6-dimensional world with an extra 2-dimensional surface of a sphere, we find a 4-dimensional fermion mass formula with a zero mode. The warp factor is given by $ϕ(θ,φ)=\sin{θ}\cos{φ}$, which is a solution to the 6-dimensional Einstein equation with the bulk cosmological constant $Λ$ and the energy-momentum tensor of the bulk matter fields.
We solve the Einstein equations in higher dimensions with warped geometry where an extra dimension is assumed to have orbifold symmetry $S^{1}/Z_{2}$. The setup considered here is an extension of the five-dimensional Randall-Sundrum model to $5+D$ dimensions, and hidden and observable branes are fixed on the orbifold. It is assumed that the brane tension (self-energy) of each brane with $(4+D)$-dimensional spacetime is anisotropic and that the warped metric function of the four dimensions is generally different from that of the extra $D$ dimensions. We point out that the forms of the warped me…
Warped extra dimension claims remarkable success: solving the hierarchy problem; explaining hierarchies in particle phenomenology; yielding standard cosmology, plus interesting nonstandard scenarios. Yet it has marked shortcomings: we over-rely on a single toy model, Randall-Sundrum; we treat matter and gravity in an ad hoc, asymmetric way; and we conceptualize integrated 4D effective field theory inconsistently. I here construct sounder 4D effective field theories for matter and gravity in warped extra dimension -- whether Randall-Sundrum or higher codimension. I track both Planck and particl…
In a warped 6D world with an extra 2-dimensional sphere, we propose an exactly solvable model for fermion masses with zero mode. The warp factor is given by $ϕ(θ,φ)=\sin{θ}\cos{φ}$, which is a solution to the 6D Einstein equation with the bulk cosmological constant $Λ$ and the energy-momentum tensor of the bulk matter fields. Our model provides another possibility of obtaining fermion zero mode, rather than traditional model based on Dirac's monopole.
We consider a five dimensional AdS warped spacetime in presence of a massive scalar field in the bulk. The scalar field potential fulfills the requirement of modulus stabilization even when the effect of backreaction of the stabilizing field is taken into account. In such a scenario, we investigate the possible role of modulus field on a compact stellar structure from the perspective of four dimensional effective theory. Our result reveals that in the presence of the modulus field, the upper bound of mass-radius ratio (generally known as Buchdahl's limit) of a star can go beyond the general re…
We consider supersymmetric theories with a warped extra dimension where supersymmetry is broken by boundary conditions that preserve an R-symmetry. It is shown that this supersymmetry breaking mechanism naturally invokes the Stuckelberg formalism for the gravitino in order to give a four-dimensional theory with a smooth massless limit.
We consider six dimensional brane world models with a compact and a warped extra dimension with five dimensional branes. We find that such scenarios have many interesting features arising from both ADD and Randall-Sundrum -models. In particular we study a class of models with a single 5D brane and a finite warped extra dimension, where one of the brane dimensions is compact. In these models the hierarchy problem can be solved on a single positive tension brane.
We investigate neutron-antineutron oscillations in the Randall-Sundrum warped extra dimensional scenario. The four dimensional effective strengths of the relevant operators that induce the oscillations are calculated up to an arbitrary coupling along with their corresponding enhancements due to QCD 1-loop running effects. We find that the $ΔB = 2$ operators can be geometrically suppressed without fine tuning to within current experimental limits with a warped down four dimensional mass scale which can be as low as a fraction of a TeV.
We analyze the backreaction of dilaton tadpoles on the geometry of non-supersymmetric strings. After finding explicit warped solutions for a T-dual version of the Sugimoto model, we examine the possibility of realizing large extra dimension scenarios within the context of non-supersymmetric string models. Our analysis reveals an appealing mechanism to dynamically reduce the number of flat, non-compact directions in non-supersymmetric string theories.
We consider a 5D warped scenario with a KK-parity symmetry, where the non-trivial warping arises from the dynamics that stabilizes the size of the extra dimension. Generically, the lightest Kaluza-Klein (KK) particle is the first excitation of the radion field, while the next-to-lightest Kaluza-Klein particle is either the first excitation of the (RH) top quark or the first KK-parity odd Higgs. All these masses are expected to be of order the electroweak scale. We present simple analytical expressions for the masses and wavefunctions of the lowest lying KK modes, and derive the Feynman rules n…
Corrections to Newton's inverse law have been so far considered, but not clear in warped higher dimensional worlds, because of complexity of the Einstein equation. Here we give a model of a warped 6D world with an extra 2D sphere. We take a general energy-momentum tensor, which does not depend on a special choice of bulk matter fields. The 6D Einstein equation reduces to the spheroidal differential equation, which can be easily solved. The gravitational potential in our 4D universe is calculated to be composed of infinite series of massive Yukawa potentials coming from the KK mode, together wi…
We study the existence and stability of static kink-like configurations of a 5D scalar field, with Dirichlet boundary conditions, along the extra dimension of a warped braneworld. In the presence of gravity such configurations fail to stabilize the size of the extra dimension, leading us to consider additional scalar fields with the role of stabilization. We numerically identify multiple nontrivial solutions for a given 5D action, made possible by the nonlinear nature of the background equations, which we find is enhanced in the presence of gravity. Finally, we take a first step towards addres…
Inspired by the warped Randall Sundrum scenario proposed to solve the mass scale hierarchy problem with a compactified fifth extra dimension, a similar model with no metric singularities has been elaborated. In this framework, the Kaluza-Klein reduction equations for a real massless scalar field propagating in the bulk have been studied carefully from the point of view of hermiticity so as to formulate in a mathematically rigorous way all the possible boundary conditions and corresponding mass eigenvalue towers and tachyon states. The physical masses as observable in our four-dimensional brane…
We present a connection between two known solutions to the strong-CP problem: the standard introduction of axions and the extra-dimensional one, relying on topological arguments. Using an equivalent lower-dimensional set-up with a warped extra-dimension but without adding any new fields, it is shown that an additional light degree of freedom appears. Like an axion, it couples to the topological charge density via Fermionic loop corrections. Its decay constant is related to the geometry of the extra dimension and is suppressed by the warping scale.
In this paper, we propose a new mechanism with warped extra dimension to solve the hierarchy problem, which is parallel to the Randall-Sundrum (RS) brane scenario. Different from the RS scenario, the fundamental scale is TeV scale and the four-dimensional Planck scale is generated from the exponential warped extra dimension at size of a few TeV$^{-1}$. The experimental consequences of this scenario are very different from that of the RS scenario. In the explicit realization in the nonlocal gravity theory, there is a tower of spin-2 excitations with mass gap $10^{-4}\text{eV}$ and they are coup…

We suggest a model which addresses both the fermion mass hierarchy problem and the family problem in two-layer warped extra dimensions. In this model, 3 family fermions in 4 dimensions (4D) generate from 1 family in two-layer warped 6D by two step Kluza-Klein decompositions. The mass hierarchies are produced by the exponential behavior of 4D fermion zero mode profiles. The mixings and masses of fermions are closely related to the family problem. By adjusting parameters in this model, the numerical results can be very close to the experimental data both in the quark sector and in the lepton sec…
We present four-dimensional gauge theories in Minkowski spacetime which effectively generate in certain energy regimes five-dimensional warped geometries whereas, in general, the fifth dimension is latticized. After discussing in detail several general aspects in such theories we present a number of exactly solvable examples. We also point out how a particular case, defined in an N-sided polygon and having a Z_N symmetry, has a similar realization in an appropriate supersymmetric setting with D3-branes.
We propose a model of spontaneous CP violation to address the strong CP problem in warped extra dimensions that relies on sequestering flavor and CP violation. We assume that brane-localized Higgs Yukawa interactions respect a U(3) flavor symmetry that is broken only by bulk fermion mass and Yukawa terms. All CP violation arises from the vev of a CP-odd scalar field localized in the bulk. To suppress radiative corrections to theta-bar, the doublet quarks in this model are localized on the IR brane. We calculate constraints from flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNCs), precision electroweak me…
This work presents a general formalism to analyze a generic bulk scalar field in a multiple warped extra-dimensional model with arbitrary number of extra dimensions. The Kaluza-Klein mass modes along with the self-interaction couplings are determined and the possibility of having lowest lying KK mode masses near TeV scale are discussed. Also some numerical values for low-lying KK modes has been presented showing explicit localization around TeV scale. It is argued that the appearance of large number of closely spaced KK modes with enhanced coupling may prompt possible new signatures in collide…
Theories beyond the Standard Model often contain mass scales hierarchically different from the electroweak scale and the Planck scale. It has been shown that such hierarchical mass scales can be realized as typical energy scales of multiple 3-branes in a 5D warped spacetime. We present a mechanism for stabilizing the intervals between the multiple 3-branes in the warped extra dimension, by introducing a single 5D scalar field with brane-localized potentials. We discuss the radion stabilization by solving the Einstein equation and the scalar field equation of motion so that a backreaction effec…
New singularity theorems are derived for generic warped-product spacetimes of any dimension. The main purpose is to analyze the stability of (compact or large) extra dimensions against dynamical perturbations. To that end, the base of the warped product is assumed to be our visible 4-dimensional world, while the extra dimensions define the fibers, hence we consider "extra-dimensional evolution". Explicit conditions on the warping function that lead to geodesic incompleteness are given. These conditions can be appropriately rewritten, given a warping function, as restrictions on the intrinsic g…
We consider a (long-lived) sterile neutrino dark matter scenario in a five dimensional (5D) warped extra dimension model where the fields can live in the bulk, which is partly motivated from the absence of the absolutely stable particles in a simple Randall-Sundrum model. The dominant production of the sterile neutrino can come from the decay of the radion (the scalar field representing the brane separation) around the electroweak scale. The suppressions of the 4D parameters due to the warp factor and the small wave function overlaps in the extra dimension help alleviate the exceeding fine-tun…
Models with an extra dimension generally contain background scalar fields in a non-trivial configuration, whose stability must be ensured. With gravity present, the extra dimension is warped by the scalars, and the spin-0 degrees of freedom in the metric mix with the scalar perturbations. Where possible, we formally solve the coupled Schrodinger equations for the zero modes of these spin-0 perturbations. When specialising to the case of two scalars with a potential generated by a superpotential, we are able to fully solve the system. We show how these zero modes can be used to construct a solu…
We study the behavior of a general gravitational action, including quadratic terms in the curvature, supplemented by a compact scalar field in 4+1 dimensions. The generalized Einstein equation for this system admits solutions which are compact in one direction and Poincare invariant in the remaining directions. These solutions do not require any fine-tuning of the parameters in the action---including the cosmological constant---only that they should satisfy some mild inequalities. Some of these inequalities can be expressed in a universal form that does not depend on the number of extra compac…
We show that a discrete exchange symmetry can give rise to realistic dark matter candidates in models with warped extra dimensions. We show how to realize our construction in a variety of models with warped extra dimensions and study in detail a realistic model of Gauge-Higgs Unification/composite Higgs in which the observed amount of dark matter is naturally reproduced. In this model, a realistic pattern of electroweak symmetry breaking typically occurs in a region of parameter space in which the fit to the electroweak precision observables improves, the Higgs is heavier than the experimental…
We study a class of higher dimensional warped Einstein spacetimes with one extra dimension. These were originally identified by Brinkmann as those Einstein spacetimes that can be mapped conformally on other Einstein spacetimes, and have subsequently appeared in various contexts to describe, e.g., different braneworld models or warped black strings. After clarifying the relation between the general Brinkmann metric and other more specific coordinate systems, we analyze the algebraic type of the Weyl tensor of the solutions. In particular, we describe the relation between Weyl aligned null direc…
In extra dimensions, the quark and lepton mass hierarchy can be reproduced from the same order bulk mass parameters, and standard model fermion families can be generated from one generation in the high dimensional space. We try to explain the origin of the same order bulk mass parameters and address the family replication puzzle simultaneously. We show that they correlate with each other. We construct models that families are generated from extra dimensional space, and in the meantime the bulk mass parameters of same order emerge naturally. The interesting point is that the bulk mass parameter…
We propose a simple model of extra-dimensional radius stabilization in a supersymmetric Randall-Sundrum model. In our model, we introduce only a bulk hypermultiplet and source terms (tadpole terms) on each boundary branes. With appropriate choice of model parameters, we find that the radius can be stabilized by supersymmetric vacuum conditions. Since the radion mass can be much larger than the gravitino mass and even the original supersymmetry breaking scale, radius stability is ensured even in the presence of supersymmetry breaking. We find a parameter region in which unwanted scalar masses i…
We construct consistent noncommutative (NC) deformations of the Randall-Sundrum spacetime that solve the NC Einstein equations with a non-trivial Poisson tensor depending on the fifth coordinate. In a class of these deformations where the Poisson tensor is exponentially localized on one of the branes (the NC-brane), we study the effects on bulk particles in terms of Lorentz-violating operators induced by NC-brane interactions. We sketch two models in which massive bulk particles mediate NC effects to an almost-commutative SM-brane, such that observables at high energy colliders are enhanced wi…
We investigate a scenario with two four-branes embedded in six dimensions. When the metric is periodic and compact in one of the dimensions parallel to the branes, the value of the effective cosmological constant for the remaining five dimensions can assume a variety of values, determined by the dependence of the metric on the sixth dimension. The picture that emerges resembles the Randall-Sundrum model but with an extra warped dimension that allows the usual brane-bulk fine tuning to be satisfied without finely tuning any of the parameters in the underlying six dimensional theory. Although th…
We study the recently found anomalies in $B$-meson decays within a scenario with a warped extra dimension where the Standard Model fermions are propagating in the bulk. The anomalies are then interpreted as the result of the exchange of heavy vector resonances with electroweak quantum numbers. The model naturally leads to lepton-flavor universality violation when different flavor fermions are differently localized along the extra dimension, signaling a different degree of compositeness in the dual holographic theory.
The Kaluza-Klein (KK) modes of a massive scalar field on a 3-brane embedded in six dimensional multiply warped spacetime are determined. Due to the presence of warping along both the extra dimensions the KK mass spectrum splits into two closely spaced branches which is a distinct feature of this model compared to the five dimensional Randall-Sundrum model. This new cluster of the KK mode spectrum is expected to have interesting phenomenological implications for the upcoming collider experiments. Such a scenario may also be extended for even larger number of orbifolded extra dimensions.
Topological interactions will be generated in theories with compact extra dimensions where fermionic chiral zero modes have different localizations. This is the case in many warped extra dimension models where the right-handed top quark is typically localized away from the left-handed one. Using deconstruction techniques, we study the topological interactions in these models. These interactions appear as trilinear and quadrilinear gauge boson couplings in low energy effective theories with three or more sites, as well as in the continuum limit. We derive the form of these interactions for vari…
Hubble expansion in warped braneworld model is addressed in presence of more than one warped extra dimensions. It is shown that while the expansion depends on all the moduli, an exponential nature of the expansion of the scale factor emerges as a generic feature which is independent of the number of extra dimensions. Expression for the effective brane cosmological constant in such model has been derived. It is shown that similar to the 5-dimensional Randall-Sundrum model a fine tuning between the bulk cosmological constant and brane tension is required to obtain the desired cosmological consta…
Explicit supersymmetry breaking is studied in higher dimensional theories by having boundaries respect only a subgroup of the bulk symmetry. If the boundary symmetry is the maximal subgroup allowed by the boundary conditions imposed on the fields, then the symmetry can be consistently gauged; otherwise gauging leads to an inconsistent theory. In a warped fifth dimension, an explicit breaking of all bulk supersymmetries by the boundaries is found to be inconsistent with gauging; unlike the case of flat 5D, complete supersymmetry breaking by boundary conditions is not consistent with supergravit…
We employ an $SU(2)$ bulk Higgs doublet as the stabilization field in Randall-Sundrum model with appropriate bulk and brane-localized potentials. The gauge hierarchy problem can be solved for an exponentially IR-localized Higgs background field with mild values of fundamental parameters of the 5D theory. We consider an IR-UV-IR background geometry with the 5D SM fields in the bulk such that all the fields have even and odd tower of KK-modes. The zero-mode 4D effective theory contains all the SM fields plus a stable scalar, which serves as a dark matter candidate.
The dynamics of Wilson lines integrated along a warped extra dimension has been unknown. We study a five dimensional SU(N) pure gauge theory with Randall-Sundrum warped compactification on S^1/Z_2. We clarify the notion of large gauge transformations that are non-periodic on the covering space for this setup. We obtain Kaluza-Klein expansions of gauge and ghost fields for the most general twists and background gauge field configurations, which break the gauge symmetry at classical level in general. We calculate the one-loop effective potential and find that the symmetry corresponding to the su…
In the Randall-Sundrum model, a bulk neutrino field in the 5-dimensional space-time can give rise to tiny Dirac masses to neutrinos. In such a scenario, we have computed the contribution of the bulk neutrino field to the anomalous magnetic moment $(g-2)_μ$ of muon. We have computed this contribution in the 't Hooft-Feynman gauge and have found that the contribution has the right sign to fit the current discrepancy between the experiment and the standard model value of $(g-2)_μ$. We have also studied possible constraints on the model parameters by including contributions to $(g-2)_μ$ from other…
We propose a new description of the (4+N)-dimensional Arkani-Hamed-Dimopoulos-Dvali (ADD) model in a (4+1)-dimensional warped geometry to solve the gauge hierarchy problem. It has the same KK spectrum as in the ADD model and recovers its phenomenons that do not involve the interaction among the graviton KK modes. There is no hierarchy between the fundamental length and the size of the extra dimension. An explicit realization is constructed in the nonlocal gravity theory to give a warped description of the six-dimensional ADD model. Remarkably, the equivalent number N of the extra dimensions in…
Five-dimensional scenarios with infinitesimally thin branes replaced by appropriate configurations of a scalar field were considered. A possibility of periodic extra dimension was discussed in the presence on non-minimal scalar-gravity coupling and a generalized Gibbons-Kallosh-Linde sum rule was found. In order to avoid constraints imposed by periodicity, a non-compact spacial extra dimension was introduced. A five dimensional model with warped geometry and two thin branes mimicked by a scalar profile was constructed and discussed. In the thin brane limit the model corresponds to a set-up wit…
We report on explicit cosmological solutions within the framework of an inflating de Sitter brane embedded in five- and ten-dimensional bulk spacetimes. In the specific example we study the brane tension is induced by the curvature related to the expansion of a physical 3+1 spacetime rather than by a bulk cosmological term. In a generic situation with nonzero brane tension, the expansion of the universe accelerates eventually. We also show that inflationary cosmology is possible for a wide class of metrics without violating four- and higher-dimensional null energy condition.
Accelerating universe or the existence of a small and positive cosmological constant is probably the most pressing obstacle as well as opportunity to significantly improving the models of four-dimensional cosmology from fundamental theories of gravity, including string theory. In seeking to resolve this problem, one naturally wonders if the real world can somehow be interpreted as an inflating de Sitter brane embedded in a higher-dimensional spacetime described by warped geometry. In this scenario, the four-dimensional cosmological constant may be uniquely determined in terms of two length sca…
Warped string compactifications, characterized by non-singular behavior of the metric in the infrared (IR), feature departures from the usual anti-de Sitter warped extra dimensions. We study the implications of the smooth IR cutoff for Randall-Sundrum (RS) type models. We find that the phenomenology of the KK gravitons (including their masses and couplings) depends sensitively on the precise shape of the warp factor in the IR. In particular, we analyze the warped deformed conifold and find that the spectrum differs significantly from that of RS, and present a simple prescription (a mass gap an…
We investigate the stability of the extra dimensions in a warped, codimension two braneworld that is based upon an Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory with a non-vanishing scalar field potential. The braneworld solution has two 3-branes, which are located at the positions of the conical singularities. For this type of brane solution the relative positions of the branes (the shape modulus) is determined via the tension-deficit relations, if the brane tensions are fixed. However, the volume of the extra dimensions (the volume modulus) is not fixed in the context of the classical theory, implying we …
This work sets up a general theoretical framework to study stability of models with a warped extra dimension where N scalar fields couple minimally to gravity. Our analysis encompasses Randall-Sundrum models with branes and bulk scalars, and general domain-wall models. We derive the Schrodinger equation governing the spin-0 spectrum of perturbations of such a system. This result is specialized to potentials generated using fake supergravity, and we show that models without branes are free of tachyonic modes. Turning to the existence of zero modes, we prove a criterion which relates the number …
In asymmetrically warped spacetimes different warp factors are assigned to space and to time. We discuss causality properties of these warped brane universes and argue that scenarios with two extra dimensions may allow for timelike curves which can be closed via paths in the extra-dimensional bulk. In particular, necessary and sufficient conditions on the metric for the existence of closed timelike curves are presented. We find a six-dimensional warped metric which satisfies the CTC conditions, and where the null, weak and dominant energy conditions are satisfied on the brane (although only th…
We consider a model of DBI inflation where two stacks of mobile branes are moving ultra relativistically in a warped throat. The stack closer to the tip of the throat is annihilated with the background anti-branes while inflation proceeds by the second stack. The effects of branes annihilation and particles creation during DBI inflation on the curvature perturbations power spectrum and the scalar spectral index are studied. We show that for super-horizon scales, modes which are outside the sound horizon at the time of branes collision, the spectral index has a shift to blue spectrum compared t…
Amongst the diverse propositions for extra dimensional scenarios, the model of Randall and Sundrum (RS), which offers a solution for the long standing puzzle of the gauge hierarchy problem, has attracted considerable attention from both the theoretical and experimental points of view. In the context of the RS model with gauge bosons and fermions living in the bulk, a novel type of mechanism has arisen for interpreting the strong mass hierarchy of the Standard Model fermions. This purely geometrical mechanism is based on a type and flavor dependent localization of fermions along a warped extra …
We present a 5D $\mathbb{Z}_2$-symmetric IR-UV-IR model with a {\it warped KK-parity} under which the bulk fields have towers of either even or odd KK-modes. We show that this $\mathbb{Z}_2$-symmetric geometry is equivalent to two times the UV-IR geometry (Randall-Sundrum model) provided each bulk field is subject to Neumann (or mixed) and Dirichlet boundary conditions at the UV-brane for even and odd fields, respectively. The 5D Standard Model (SM) bosonic sector is considered, such that in the 4D low-energy effective theory the $\mathbb{Z}_2$-even zero-modes correspond to the SM degrees of f…
We propose a cosmological model which exhibits the phenomenon of self-acceleration: the Universe is attracted to the phase of accelerated expansion at late times even in the absence of the cosmological constant. The self-acceleration is inevitable in the sense that it cannot be neutralized by any negative explicit cosmological constant. The model is formulated in the framework of brane-world theories with a warped extra dimension. The key ingredient of the model is the brane-bulk energy transfer which is carried by bulk vector fields with a sigma-model-like boundary condition on the brane. We …
We have considered gravity in a five-dimensional warped product space-time, with a time-dependent warp factor and a time-dependent extra dimension. The five-dimensional field equations are derived for a spatially flat FRW brane and the energy conditions and the nature of bulk geometry have been examined. It is found that the expansion of the four-dimensional universe depends on its location along the extra dimension and will be different at different locations in the bulk spacetime. At low energies, the trapping of fields within the brane implies a specific correlation between the warp factor …
We present the 5-dimensional cosmological solutions in the Randall-Sundrum warped compactification scenario, using the Goldberger-Wise mechanism to stabilize the size of the extra dimension. Matter on the Planck and TeV branes is treated perturbatively, to first order. The back-reaction of the scalar field on the metric is taken into account. We identify the appropriate gauge-invariant degrees of freedom, and show that the perturbations in the bulk scalar can be gauged away. We confirm previous, less exact computations of the shift in the radius of the extra dimension induced by matter. We poi…
We propose a scenario of gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking (gravity mediation) in a supersymmetric Randall-Sundrum model. In our setup, both of the visible sector and the hidden sector co-exist on the infrared (IR) brane. We introduce the Polonyi model as a simple hidden sector. Due to the warped metric, the effective cutoff scale on the IR brane is ``warped down'', so that the gravity mediation occurs at a low scale. As a result, the gravitino is naturally the lightest superpartner (LSP) and contact interactions between the hidden and the visible sector fields become stronger. We addres…
