We establish a Kobayashi-Hitchin correspondence for the stable Higgs sheaves on a compact Kaehler manifold. Using it, we also obtain a Kobayashi-Hitchin correspondence for the stable Higgs G-sheaves, where G is any complex reductive linear algebraic group.

Approximate Hermitian-Yang-Mills structures and semistability for Higgs bundles. II: Higgs sheaves and admissible structures

We study the basic properties of Higgs sheaves over compact Kähler manifolds and we establish some results concerning the notion of semistability; in particular, we show that any extension of semistable Higgs sheaves with equal slopes is semistable. Then, we use the flattening theorem to construct a regularization of any torsion-free Higgs sheaf and we show that it is in fact a Higgs bundle. Gauge fields on coherent sheaves

Given a flat gauge field $\nabla$ on a vector bundle $F$ over a manifold $M$ we deduce a necessary and sufficient condition for the field $\nabla+ E$, with $E$ an ${\rm End}(F)$-valued $1$-form, to be a Yang-Mills field. For each curve of Yang-Mills fields on $F$ starting at $\nabla$, we define a cohomology class of $H^2(M,\,{\mathscr P})$, with ${\mathscr P}$ the sheaf of $\nabla$-parallel sections of $F$. $T$-stability for Higgs sheaves over compact complex manifolds

We introduce the notion of $T$-stability for torsion-free Higgs sheaves as a natural generalization of the notion of $T$-stability for torsion-free coherent sheaves over compact complex manifolds. We prove similar properties to the classical ones for Higgs sheaves. In particular, we show that only saturated flags of torsion-free Higgs sheaves are important in the definition of $T$-stability. Complex algebraic compactifications of the moduli space of Hermitian-Yang-Mills connections on a projective manifold

In this paper we study the relationship between three compactifications of the moduli space of Hermitian-Yang-Mills connections on a fixed Hermitian vector bundle over a projective algebraic manifold of arbitrary dimension. Via the Donaldson-Uhlenbeck-Yau theorem, this space is analytically isomorphic to the moduli space of stable holomorphic vector bundles, and as such it admits an algebraic compactification by Gieseker-Maruyama semistable torsion-free sheaves. Geometrization of trigonometric solutions of the associative and classical Yang-Baxter equations

We describe a geometric construction of all nondegenerate trigonometric solutions of the associative and classical Yang-Baxter equations. In the associative case the solutions come from symmetric spherical orders over the irreducible nodal curve of arithmetic genus $1$, while in the Lie case they come from spherical sheaves of Lie algebras over the same curve.

Supersymmetric Yang-Mills Theory On A Four-Manifold

By exploiting standard facts about $N=1$ and $N=2$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory, the Donaldson invariants of four-manifolds that admit a Kahler metric can be computed. The results are in agreement with available mathematical computations, and provide a powerful check on the standard claims about supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory.

Holomorphic Yang-Mills Theory and Variation of the Donaldson Invariants

We study the path integrals of the holomorphic Yang-Mills theory on compact Kähler surface with $b_2^+ = 1$. Based on the results, we examine the correlation functions of the topological Yang-Mills theory and the corresponding Donaldson invariants as well as their transition formulas.
