The Berry phase in frustrated spin glass

In this letter we have pointed out that frustration in spin glass is realized through the Berry phase due to the conflict between the spin ordering in the course of parallel transport of spinor. We have came to the point that the Berry phase depicting the chiral change of helicity of a quantized spinor is prominent only in the presence of frustration.

Quantized Berry Phases for a Local Characterization of Spin Liquids in Frustrated Spin Systems

Recently by using quantized Berry phases, a prescription for a local characterization of gapped topological insulators is given. One requires the ground state is gapped and is invariant under some anti-unitary operation. The Geometrically Frustrated Spin Glass (Fe1-pGap)2TiO5

The unusual anisotropy of the spin glass transition in the pseudobrookite system Fe$_2$TiO$_5$ has been interpreted as arising from an induced, van der Waals-like, interaction among magnetic clusters. Here we present susceptibility ($χ$) and specific heat data (C) for Fe2TiO5 diluted with non-magnetic Ga, (Fe$_{1-p}$Ga$_p$)$_2$TiO$_5$, for disorder parameter p = 0, 0.11, and 0.42, and elastic neutron scattering data for p = 0.20. Spin treacle in a frustrated magnet observed with spin current

By means of spin current, the flow of spin angular momentum, we find a regime of "spin treacle" in a frustrated magnetic system. To establish its existence, we have performed spin transport measurements in nanometer-scale spin glasses. At temperatures high enough that the magnetic moments fluctuate at high frequencies, the spin Hall angle, the conversion yield between spin current and charge current, is independent of temperature. Thermal Hall responses in frustrated honeycomb spin systems

We study geometrical responses of magnons driven by a temperature gradient in frustrated spin systems. While Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interactions are usually incorporated to obtain geometrically nontrivial magnon bands, here we investigate thermal Hall responses of magnons that do no rely on the DM interactions. Specifically, we focus on frustrated spin systems with sublattice degrees of freedom and show that a nonzero Berry curvature requires breaking of an effective $PT$ symmetry. Spin-electric Berry phase shift in triangular molecular magnets

We propose a Berry phase effect on the chiral degrees of freedom of a triangular magnetic molecule. The phase is induced by adiabatically varying an external electric field in the plane of the molecule via a spin-electric coupling mechanism present in these frustrated magnetic molecules.
