Electrodynamics in Superconductors Explained by Proca Equations

A fully consistent model to study electrodynamics for superconductors in the stationary and non-stationary regime has been developed based on Proca equations and a massive photon. In particular, this approach has been applied to study the electric field penetration depth in superconductors. The model shows a deviation from the charge contribution to an internal electric field compared to previous approaches.

Gravitomagnetic London Moment and the Graviton Mass inside a Superconductor

Using Proca electromagnetic and gravitoelectromagnetic equations the magnetic and gravitomagnetic properties of a rotating superconductor are respectively derived. Perfect diamagnetism, and the magnetic London moment are deduced from the photon mass in the superconductor. Similarly, it is shown that the conjecture proposed by the authors to resolve the cooper pair mass anomaly reported by Tate, can be explained by a graviton mass in the superconductor different with respect to its expected cosmological value.

Infrared Vortex-State Electrodynamics in Type-II Superconducting Thin Films

The vortex-state electrodynamics of s-wave superconductors has been studied by infrared spectroscopy. Far-infrared transmission and reflection spectra of superconducting NbTiN and NbN thin films were measured in a magnetic field perpendicular to the film surface, and the optical conductivity was extracted. The data show clear reduction of superconducting signature. We consider the vortex state as a two-component effective medium of normal cores embedded in a BCS superconductor. Influence of nonlocal electrodynamics on the anisotropic vortex pinning in $YNi_2B_2C$

We have studied the pinning force density Fp of YNi_2B_2C superconductors for various field orientations. We observe anisotropies both between the c-axis and the basal plane and within the plane, that cannot be explained by usual mass anisotropy. For magnetic field $H \parallel c$, the reorientation structural transition in the vortex lattice due to nonlocality, which occurs at a field $H_1 \sim 1kOe$, manifests itself as a kink in Fp(H). Electrodynamic response of MgB2 sintered pellets and thin films

We present a study of the electrodynamic response of MgB2 pellets and thin film samples exhibiting critical temperatures ranging between 26 and 38 K. We have performed accurate measurements of the surface impedance ZS =RS+iXS as a function of the temperature and of the magnitude of the electromagnetic field. Meissner effect, Spin Meissner effect and charge expulsion in superconductors

The Meissner effect and the Spin Meissner effect are the spontaneous generation of charge and spin current respectively near the surface of a metal making a transition to the superconducting state. The Meissner effect is well known but, I argue, not explained by the conventional theory, the Spin Meissner effect has yet to be detected.
