We discuss ILC measurements for a specific MSSM scenario with CP phases, where the lightest neutralino is a good candidate for dark matter, annihilating efficiently through t-channel exchange of light staus. These prospective (CP-even) ILC measurements are then used to fit the underlying model parameters. A collider prediction of the relic density of the neutralino from this fit gives 0.116<Omega h^2<0.19 at 95% CL. CP-odd observables, while being a direct signal of CP violation, do not help in further constraining Omega h^2. The interplay with (in)direct detection of dark matter and with measurements of electric dipole moments is also discussed. Finally we comment on collider measurements at higher energies for refining the prediction of Omega h^2.

The LEP experiments give a lower bound on the neutralino mass of about 46 GeV which, however, relies on a supersymmetric grand unification relation. Dropping this assumption, the experimental lower bound on the neutralino mass vanishes completely. Recent analyses suggest, however, that in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM), a light neutralino dark matter candidate has a lower bound on its mass of about 7 GeV. In light of this, we investigate the mass sensitivity at the ILC for very light neutralinos. We study slepton pair production, followed by the decay of the sleptons to a lep…
We study the CP-violating terms of the spin-spin correlations in neutralino production and their subsequent two-body decays into sleptons plus leptons at the ILC. We analyze CP-sensitive observables with the help of T-odd products of the spin-spin terms. These terms depend on the polarizations of both neutralinos, with one polarization perpendicular to the production plane. We present a detailed numerical study of the CP-sensitive observables, cross sections, and neutralino branching ratios in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex parameters.
We provide complete one-loop predictions for the direct production of the neutralino pairs via photon-photon collisions which appears for the first time at one-loop level in the minimal supersymmetric standard model at the International Linear Collider. We present a comprehensive investigation of the dependence of total cross section on the center-of-mass energy and the tan$β$ for three different scenarios based on gaugino/Higgsino fractions of the neutralinos. Furthermore, by investigating the behavior with the most relevant parameters $μ$ and $M_2$, we exhibit regions of the parameter space …
We show that the interplay between the LHC and the e^+ e^- International Linear Collider (ILC) with sqrt{s}=500 GeV might be crucial for the discrimination between the minimal and next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model. We present an NMSSM scenario that cannot be distinguished from the MSSM by cross sections and mass measurements if only the light neutralinos and the lightest chargino are kinematically accessible, even if one of the neutralinos has a significant singlino component. Mass predictions for the heavier neutralinos from the ILC analysis and their observation at the LHC lead t…
We study radiative neutralino production e^+e^- \to \tildeχ^0_1 \tildeχ^0_1γat the linear collider with longitudinally polarised beams. We consider the Standard Model background from radiative neutrino production e^+e^- \to ν\barνγ, and the supersymmetric radiative production of sneutrinos e^+e^- \to \tildeν\tildeν^\ast γ, which can be a background for invisible sneutrino decays. We give the complete tree-level formulas for the amplitudes and matrix elements squared. In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, we study the dependence of the cross sections on the beam polarisations, on the pa…
We analyze the impact of electron and positron beam polarization on radiative neutralino production at the International Linear Collider (ILC). We focus on three different mSUGRA scenarios in turn at the Higgs strahlung threshold, the top pair production threshold, and at $\sqrt{s} =500\GeV$. In these scenarios at the corresponding $\sqrt{s}$, radiative neutralino production is the only supersymmetric production mechanism which is kinematically allowed. The heavier neutralinos, and charginos as well as the sleptons, squarks and gluinos are too heavy to be pair produced. We calculate the signal…
We study neutralino production at the linear collider with the subsequent two-body decays ~chi^0_i -> ~chi^0_n Z^0 and Z^0 -> l^+ l^-, with l=e, mu, tau, or Z^0 -> q q- with q=c,b. We show that transverse electron and positron beam polarizations allow the definition of unique CP observables. These are azimuthal asymmetries in the distributions of the final leptons or quarks. We calculate these CP asymmetries and the cross sections in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex higgsino and gaugino parameters mu and M_1. For final quark pairs, we find CP asymmetries as large as 30%. …
Neutralino pair production via photon-photon collisions is analyzed in the context of Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at future linear collider. Since photon does not have self coupling, this process is only possible at Next-to-Leading order and all the possible terms are calculated for the photon-photon interaction, including box, triangles and quartic coupling diagrams. Numerical analysis of the production rates for $ \tildeχ^0_1 \tildeχ^0_1$, $ \tildeχ^0_1 \tildeχ^0_2$ and $ \tildeχ^0_2 \tildeχ^0_2$ are presented for four new distinct benchmark models which are presented in the light …
Supersymmetry (SUSY) is a theory that gives an explanation for the strong and electroweak interactions from the grand unification scale down to the weak scale. The search for supersymmetric particles still continues at full speed at the LHC without success. The main tasks at the ILC is complementing the LHC result and also search for new physics. In this study, the neutralino pair production via photon-photon collision is studied for the $\tilde{t}$-coannihilation scenario in the context of MSSM at the ILC. In the calculation, all the possible one-loop diagrams are taken into account for the p…
Bounds on cross section measurements of chargino pair production at LEP yield a bound on the chargino mass. If the GUT relation is assumed, the lightest neutralino must be heavier than $\approx 45 -50\GeV$. If no GUT relation is assumed, no lower bound on the neutralino mass exists. I derive mass bounds on the lightest neutralino from relic density measurements for relativistic and non-relativistic neutralinos and I derive bounds on the selectron mass from the observed limits on the cross section of the neutralino pair production process $e^+e^-\to \x{1}\x{2}$ at LEP, if the lightest neutralin…
Supersymmetry can explain the observed dark matter relic density with a neutralino dark matter particle and a coannihilating, almost mass-degenerate sparticle. If this were the case in nature, a linear electron positron collider like the ILC could discover the two sparticles if their masses are in the kinematic reach of the collider. This contribution discusses which observations are necessary at the ILC for predicting the dark matter relic density correctly and for confirming that the observed lightest neutralino is the only kind of dark matter. We take the case of stau coannihilation as an e…
The interplay between the LHC and the $e^+ e^-$ International Linear Collider (ILC) with $\sqrt{s}=500$ GeV might be crucial for the discrimination between the minimal and next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model. We present an NMSSM scenario, where the light neutralinos have a significant singlino component, that cannot be distinguished from the MSSM by cross sections and mass measurements. Mass and mixing state predictions for the heavier neutralinos from the ILC analysis at different energy stages and comparison with observation at the LHC, lead to clear identification of the particle …
It is one of the most challenging tasks at the Large Hadron Collider and at a future Linear Collider not only to observe physics beyond the Standard Model, but to clearly identify the underlying new physics model. In this paper we concentrate on the distinction between two different supersymmetric models, the MSSM and the NMSSM, as they can lead to similar low energy spectra. The NMSSM adds a singlet superfield to the MSSM particle spectrum and simplifies embedding a SM-like Higgs candidate with the measured mass of about 125.5 GeV. In parts of the parameter space the Higgs sector itself does …
We study the prospects to measure the CP-sensitive triple-product asymmetries in neutralino production e+e- -> ~chi^0_i ~chi^0_1 and subsequent leptonic two-body decays ~chi^0_i -> ~l_R l, ~l_R -> ~chi^0_1 l, for l=e, mu, within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We include a full detector simulation of the International Large Detector for the International Linear Collider. The simulation was performed at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt{s}=500 GeV, including the relevant Standard Model background processes, a realistic beam energy spectrum, beam backgrounds and a beam polarization of 8…
We review the case of gravitino Dark Matter for stop, neutralino and sneutrino Next-to-Lightest Supersymmetric Particles and discuss prospects to investigate such scenarios at LHC and a Linear Collider.
We discuss the solution to the Dark Matter problem provided by the lightest neutralino of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) and highlight the role of the International Linear Collider (ILC) in determining its cosmological relic density.
We study CP violation in the two-body decay of a scalar tau into a neutralino and a tau, which should be probed at the LHC and ILC. From the normal tau polarization, a CP asymmetry is defined which is sensitive to the CP phases of the trilinear scalar coupling parameter $A_τ$, the gaugino mass parameter $M_1$, and the higgsino mass parameter $μ$ in the stau-neutralino sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Asymmetries of more than 70% are obtained in scenarios with strong stau mixing. As a result, detectable CP asymmetries in stau decays at the LHC are found, motivating further d…
We study the decay of 125 GeV Higgs boson to light LSP neutralino in the phenomenological minimal supersymmetric standard model in the context of collider searches and astrophysical experiments. We consider the parameter space for light neutralinos that can be probed via the invisible Higgs decays and higgsino searches at the ILC. We consider the cases where the light neutralino is compatible with the observed relic density or where the thermal relic is over-abundant, pointing to non-standard cosmology. In the former case, when the neutralino properties give rise to under-abundant relic densit…
There is a strong and growing interplay between particle physics and cosmology. In this talk, I discuss some aspects of this interplay concerning dark matter candidates put forth by theories beyond the Standard Model. In explaining the requirements for collider tests of such dark matter candidates, I focus in particular on the case of the lightest neutralino in the MSSM.
For the search for electroweak particles in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as for future precision analyses of these particles an accurate knowledge of their production and decay properties is mandatory. We review the evaluation of the cross sections for the chargino, neutralino and scalar lepton production at e+e- colliders in the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). The evaluation is based on a full one-loop calculation of the various production mechanisms, including soft and hard photon radiation. The dependence of the chargino/neutralino/slepton cross sections on…
We study the neutral Higgs sector of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with explicit CP violation at the one-loop level. We take into account the one-loop contributions by the top quark, the stop quarks, the bottom quark, the sbottom quarks, the tau lepton, the stau leptons, the $W$ boson, the charged Higgs boson, the charginos, the $Z$ boson, the neutral Higgs bosons, and the neutralinos. The production cross sections of the neutral Higgs boson are calculated to the leading order. The processes in our consideration are divided in two groups: the Higgs-strahlung and gluon fusion…
The search for and potential identification of dark matter (DM) will require a simultaneous, multi-pronged approach with important roles to be played by the LHC, both direct and indirect DM detection experiments and, eventually, the ILC. The 19-parameter p(henomenological)MSSM can provide a broad framework for complementarity studies of neutralino DM. In this talk, I summarized the sensitivity of these searches at the 7, 8 and 14 TeV LHC, combined with those from \Fermi, CTA, IceCube/DeepCore, COUPP, LZ and XENON. The strengths and weaknesses of each of these searches is briefly discussed as i…
We investigate the capabilities for the LHC and the ILC to perform measurements of new physics parameters relevant for the calculation of the cosmological relic abundance of the lightest neutralino in supersymmetry. Specifically, we delineate the range of values for the cold dark matter relic abundance $Ω_χ h^2$, which will be consistent with the expected precision measurements at the LHC, and, subsequently, at the ILC. We illustrate our approach with a toy study of an "updated benchmark" point B'. We then show some preliminary results of a similar analysis along those lines of the LCC2 benchm…
Supersymmetry (SUSY) with bilinearly broken R parity (bRPV) offers an attractive possibility to explain the origin of neutrino masses and mixings. In such scenarios, the study of neutralino decays at colliders gives access to neutrino sector parameters. The ILC offers a very clean environment to study the neutralino properties as well as its subsequent decays, which typically involve a $W$ or $Z$ boson and a lepton. This study is based on ILC beam parameters according to the Technical Design Report for a center of mass energy of $500\,\mathrm{GeV}$. A full detector simulation of the Internatio…
The Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model opens the possibility of electroweak baryogenesis provided that the light scalar top quark (stop) is lighter than the top quark. In addition, the lightest neutralino is an ideal candidate to explain the existence of dark matter. For a light stop with mass close to the lightest neutralino, the stop-neutralino co-annihilation mechanism becomes efficient, thus rendering the predicted dark matter density compatible with observations. Such a stop may however remain elusive at hadron colliders. Here it is shown that a future linear collider provides a unique…
A compelling framework to explain dark matter and electroweak baryogenesis is supersymmetry with light scalar top quarks (stops) and a small mass difference between the stop and the lightest neutralino. In this work, the stop detection capability at the ILC for small mass differences between the stop and the neutralino is studied. The analysis is based on a fast and realistic detector simulation. Significant sensitivity for mass differences down to 5 GeV is obtained. It is discussed how the relevant parameters of the scalar tops can be extracted and used to compute the dark matter density in t…
Particle physics models with Natural Supersymmetry are characterized by a superpotential parameter μ\sim m_h \sim125$ GeV, while third generation squarks have mass <0.5-1.5 TeV. Gluinos should be lighter than several TeV so as not to destabilize the lighter squarks. First and second generation sfermions can be at the tens-of-TeV level which yields a decoupling solution to the SUSY flavor and CP problems. Adopting a top-down approach, we delineate the range of GUT scale SUSY model parameters which leads to a Natural SUSY mass spectrum. We find natural SUSY models to be tightly constrained by th…
Precision measurement of the stop mass at the ILC is done in a method based on cross-sections measurements at two different center-of-mass energies. This allows to minimize both the statistical and systematic errors. In the framework of the MSSM, a light stop, compatible with electro-weak baryogenesis, is studied in its decay into a charm jet and neutralino, the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle(LSP), as a candidate of dark matter. This takes place for a small stop-neutralino mass difference.
We review results from our frequentist analysis of the parameter space of the pMSSM10, in which the following 10 soft SUSY-breaking parameters are specified independently at the mean scalar top mass scale Msusy = \sqrt{M_stop1 M_stop2}: the gaugino masses M_{1,2,3}, the 1st-and 2nd-generation squark masses M_squ1 = M_squ2, the third-generation squark mass M_squ3, a common slepton mass M_slep and a common trilinear mixing parameter A, the Higgs mixing parameter mu, the pseudoscalar Higgs mass M_A and tan beta, the ratio of the two Higgs vacuum expectation values. We implemented the LHC searches…
For the search for charginos and neutralinos in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as for future precision analyses of these particles an accurate knowledge of their production and decay properties is mandatory. We evaluate the cross sections for the chargino and neutralino production at e+e- colliders in the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). The evaluation is based on a full one-loop calculation of the production mechanisms e+e- -> cha_c cha_c' and e+e- -> neu_n neu_n', including soft and hard photon radiation. We mostly restricted ourselves to a version of our renor…
Recent studies about CP violation in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with complex parameters are reviewed. In order to unambiguously identify the CP-violating phenomena it is necessary to study CP-odd or T-odd observables. In chargino and neutralino production and decay at the International Linear Collider (ILC) triple product asymmetries and asymmetries defined via transverse beam polarization have been analyzed. It has been found that these asymmetries can be measured at the ILC in a large region of the MSSM parameter space and are thus an important tool to establish CP viol…
In the minimal supersymmetric standard models, neutralino dark matter with mass of $m_χ\sim m_Z/2\sim 45$ GeV and $m_χ\sim m_h/2\sim 62$ GeV can have the thermal relic abundance $Ω_{χ_1}h^2\simeq 0.120$ via the $Z$- and Higgs-resonant annihilations, respectively, while avoiding all the current constraints. Phenomenology of such scenarios is determined only by three parameters, Bino mass $M_1$, Higgsino mass $μ$, and $\tanβ$, in the limit that all other supersymmetric particles and heavy Higgs bosons are decoupled. In this paper, we comprehensively study the constraints and future prospects of …
We present brief synopses of supersymmetric models where either the neutralino composition or its mass is adjusted so that thermal relic neutralinos from the Big Bang saturate the measured abundance of cold dark matter in the universe. We first review minimal supergravity (mSUGRA), and then examine its various one-parameter extensions where we relax the assumed universality of the soft supersymmetry breaking parameters. Our goal is to correlate relic-density-allowed parameter choices with expected phenomena in direct, indirect and collider dark matter search experiments. For every non-universa…
We study supersymmetric (SUSY) models in which the muon $g-2$ discrepancy and the dark matter relic abundance are simultaneously explained. The muon $g-2$ discrepancy, or a 3$σ$ deviation between the experimental and theoretical results of the muon anomalous magnetic moment, can be resolved by SUSY models, which implies at least three SUSY multiplets have masses of $\mathop{\mathcal{O}}(100)\, \mathrm{GeV}$. In particular, models with the bino, higgsino and slepton having $\mathop{\mathcal{O}}(100)\, \mathrm{GeV}$ masses are not only capable to explain the muon $g-2$ discrepancy but naturally …
The MSSM contains CP-violating phases that may have important observable effects in Higgs physics. We review recent highlights in Higgs phenomenology obtained with the code CPsuperH, a useful tool for studies of the production, mixing and decay of a coupled system of the neutral Higgs bosons at future high energy colliders such as the LHC, ILC ($γ$LC), and a muon collider (MC). CPsuperH implements the constraints from upper limits on electric dipole moments, and may be extended to include other related low-energy observables, such as b -> s γand B -> K l l, and to compute the relic abundance o…
In split supersymmetry, gauginos and Higgsinos are the only supersymmetric particles which are possibly accessible at foreseeable colliders. While the direct experimental searches, such as LEP and Tevatron experiments, gave robust lower bounds on the masses of these particles, the cosmic dark matter can give some upper bounds and thus have important implications for the searches at future colliders. In this work we scrutinize such dark matter constraints and show the allowed mass range for charginos and neutralinos (the mass eigenstates of gauginos and Higgsinos). We find that the lightest cha…
Gravitinos and axinos produced in the late decays of other supersymmetric particles are well-motivated dark matter (DM) candidates, whose experimental evidences are very distinctive and different from other standard candidates, as thermal produced neutralinos in similar supersymmetric models. In particular, charged sleptons could appear stable because of the length of its lifetime. The direct production of such particles at both the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and a future International Linear Collider (ILC) can give not only a clear signature of supersymmetry but also the first non-gravitatio…
In supersymmetric models with gravity-mediated SUSY breaking and gaugino mass unification, the predicted relic abundance of neutralinos usually exceeds the strict limits imposed by the WMAP collaboration. One way to obtain the correct relic abundance is to abandon gaugino mass universality and allow a mixed wino-bino lightest SUSY particle (LSP). The enhanced annihilation and scattering cross sections of mixed wino dark matter (MWDM) compared to bino dark matter lead to enhanced rates for direct dark matter detection, as well as for indirect detection at neutrino telescopes and for detection o…
Low energy supersymmetric models provide a solution to the hierarchy problem and also have the necessary ingredients to solve two of the most outstanding issues in cosmology: the origin of dark matter and baryonic matter. One of the most attractive features of this framework is that the relevant physical processes are related to interactions at the weak scale and therefore may be tested in collider experiments in the near future. This is true for the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as for its extension with the addition of one singlet chiral superfield, the so-called nMSSM…
We study the neutralino being the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP) as a cold Dark Matter (DM) candidate with a mass less than 40 GeV in the framework of the Next-to-Minimal-Supersymmetric-Standard-Model (NMSSM). We find that with the current collider constraints from LEP, the Tevatron and the LHC, there are three types of light DM solutions consistent with the direct/indirect searches as well as the relic abundance considerations: (i) A1, H1-funnels, (ii) stau coannihilation and (iii) sbottom coannihilation. Type-(i) may take place in any theory with a light scalar (or pseudo-scalar) nea…
For the search for electroweak (EW) particles in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as for future precision analyses of these particles an accurate knowledge of their production and decay properties is mandatory. We evaluate the cross sections for the chargino, neutralino and slepton production at e+e- colliders in the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). The evaluation is based on a full one-loop calculation of all possible production channels including soft and hard photon radiation. The dependence of the cross sections on the relevant cMSSM parameters is analyzed nume…
The electroweak (EW) sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) can account for a variety of experimental data. The lighest supersymmetric particle (LSP), which we take as the lightest neutralino, $\tilde χ_1^0$, can account for the observed Dark Matter (DM) content of the universe via coannihilation with the next-to-LSP (NLSP), while being in agreement with negative results from Direct Detection (DD) experiments. Owing to relatively small production cross-sections a comparably light EW sector of the MSSM is also in agreement with the unsuccessful searches at the LHC. Most impo…
The electroweak (EW) sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) can account for a variety of experimental data. In particular, it can explain the persistent 3-4 sigma discrepancy between the experimental result for the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon and its Standard Model (SM) prediction. The lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP), which we take as the lightest neutralino, can furthermore account for the observed Dark Matter (DM) content of the universe via coannihilation with the next-to-LSP (NLSP), while being in agreement with negative results from Direct Detection (D…
If the cosmic dark matter consists of weakly-interacting massive particles, these particles should be produced in reactions at the next generation of high-energy accelerators. Measurements at these accelerators can then be used to determine the microscopic properties of the dark matter. From this, we can predict the cosmic density, the annihilation cross sections, and the cross sections relevant to direct detection. In this paper, we present studies in supersymmetry models with neutralino dark matter that give quantitative estimates of the accuracy that can be expected. We show that these are …
The persistent 3-4$σ$ discrepancy between the experimental result from BNL for the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon and its Standard Model (SM) prediction, was confirmed recently by the "MUON G-2" result from Fermilab. The combination of the two measurements yields a deviation of 4.2$σ$ from the SM value. Here, we review an analysis of the parameter space of the electroweak (EW) sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), which can provide a suitable explanation of the anomaly while being in full agreement with other latest experimental data like the direct searches for EW…
We examine supersymmetric models with mixed modulus-anomaly mediated SUSY breaking (MM-AMSB) soft terms which get comparable contributions to SUSY breaking from moduli-mediation and anomaly-mediation. The apparent (mirage) unification of soft SUSY breaking terms at Q=mu_mir not associated with any physical threshold is the hallmark of this scenario. The MM-AMSB structure of soft terms arises in models of string compactification with fluxes, where the addition of an anti-brane leads to an uplifting potential and a de Sitter universe, as first constructed by Kachru {\it et al.}. The phenomenolog…
