Searching for zeroes: unconventional superconductors in a magnetic field

We review the results of the microscopic approach to the calculation of the anisotropy in the specific heat in unconventional superconductors under rotated field. Treating vortex scattering on equal footing with the energy shift we find that the electronic specific heat may have minima or maxima when the field is aligned with the nodes, depending on the temperature and field range. We discuss the influence of the paramagnetic limiting and Fermi surface shape on the location of the inversion line.

Study on Unconventional Superconductors via Angle-resolved Specific Heat

The gap function in unconventional superconductors may vanish at points or lines in momentum space, permitting electronic excitations, termed nodal quasiparticles, to exist at temperatures well below the superconducting transition. Unconventional bulk superconductivity in YFe$_2$Ge$_2$ single crystals

Using a new horizontal flux growth technique to produce high quality crystals of the unconventional superconductor YFe$_2$Ge$_2$ has led to a seven-fold reduction in disorder scattering, resulting in mm-sized crystals with residual resistivities $\simeq \SI{0.45}{\micro\ohm\centi\meter}$, resistivity ratios $\simeq 430$ and sharp superconducting heat capacity anomalies. Searching for triplet superconductivity in the Quasi-One-Dimensional K2Cr3As3

The superconducting state of the newly discovered superconductor K$_2$Cr$_3$As$_3$ with a quasi-one-dimensional crystal structure ($T_{\bf c}\sim$ 6 K) has been investigated by using magnetization and muon-spin relaxation or rotation ($μ$SR) measurements. Our analysis of the temperature dependence of the superfluid density obtained from the transverse field (TF) $μ$SR measurements fit very well to an isotropic $s$-wave character for the superconducting gap. Topological Electronic States in HfRuP Family Superconductors

Based on the first-principles calculations and experimental measurements, we report that the hexagonal phase of ternary transition metal pnictides TT'X (T=Zr, Hf; T'=Ru; X=P, As), which are well-known noncentrosymmetric superconductors with relatively high transition temperatures, host nontrivial bulk topology.
