Incidence Modules for Symplectic Spaces in Characteristic Two

We study the permutation action of a finite symplectic group of characteristic 2 on the set of subspaces of its standard module which are either totally isotropic or else complementary to totally isotropic subspaces with respect to the alternating form. A general formula is obtained for the 2-rank of the incidence matrix for the inclusion of one-dimensional subspaces in the distinguished subspaces of a fixed dimension.

The permutation action of finite symplectic groups of odd characteristic on their standard modules

Motivated by the incidence problems between points and flats of a symplectic polar space, we study a large class of submodules of the space of functions on the standard module of a finite symplectic group of odd characteristic. Our structure results on this class of submodules allow us to determine the $p$-ranks of the incidence matrices between points and flats of the symplectic polar space. On Incidence Algebras and their Representations

We provide a unified approach, via deformations of incidence algebras, to several important types of representations with finiteness conditions, as well as the combinatorial algebras which produce them. Projective symplectic geometry on regular subspaces; Grassmann spaces over symplectic copolar spaces

We construct Grassmann spaces associated with the incidence geometry of regular and tangential subspaces of a symplectic copolar space, show that the underlying metric projective space can be recovered in terms of the corresponding adjacencies on so distinguished family of k-subspaces (geometrical dimension of the space being not 2k+1), and thus we prove that bijections which preserve the adjacency are determined by automorphisms of the underlying space.

Incidence bicomodules, Möbius inversion, and a Rota formula for infinity adjunctions

Intersecting principal Bruhat ideals and grades of simple modules

We prove that the grades of simple modules indexed by boolean permutations, over the incidence algebra of the symmetric group with respect to the Bruhat order, are given by Lusztig's a-function. PBW filtration and bases for symplectic Lie algebras

We study the PBW filtration on the highest weight representations $V(\la)$ of $\msp_{2n}$. This filtration is induced by the standard degree filtration on $U(\n^-)$. We give a description of the associated graded $S(\n^-)$-module $gr V(\la)$ in terms of generators and relations. We also construct a basis of $gr V(\la)$. As an application we derive a graded combinatorial formula for the character of $V(\la)$ and obtain a new class of bases of the modules $V(\la)$.

PBW filtration and monomial bases for Demazure modules in types A and C

We characterise the symplectic Weyl group elements such that the FFLV basis is compatible with the PBW filtration on symplectic Demazure modules, extending type A results by the second author. Incidence Homology of Finite Projective Spaces

Let F* be the finite field of q elements and let P(n,q) be the projective space of dimension n-1 over F*. We construct a family H^{n}_{k,i} of combinatorial homology modules associated to P(n,q) over a coefficient field F field of characteristic p_{0}>0 co-prime to q. As FGL(n,q)-representations the modules are obtained from the permutation action of GL(n,q) on the subspaces of F*^n. We prove a branching rule for H^{n}_{k,i} and use this rule to determine these homology representations completely. The Terwilliger algebra of symplectic dual polar graphs, the subspace lattices and $U_q(sl_2)$

The adjacency matrix of a symplectic dual polar graph restricted to the eigenspaces of an abelian automorphism subgroup is shown to act as the adjacency matrix of a weighted subspace lattice. The connection between the latter and $U_q(sl_2)$ is used to find the irreducible components of the standard module of the Terwilliger algebra of symplectic dual polar graphs. The multiplicities of the isomorphic submodules are given.

An Algebra Associated with a Flag in a Subspace Lattice over a Finite Field and the Quantum Affine Algebra $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$

In this paper, we introduce an algebra $\mathcal{H}$ from a subspace lattice with respect to a fixed flag which contains its incidence algebra as a proper subalgebra. We then establish a relation between the algebra $\mathcal{H}$ and the quantum affine algebra $U_{q^{1/2}}(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$, where $q$ denotes the cardinality of the base field.
