Traditional searches for SUSY at hadron colliders rely heavily on the presence of large missing transverse energy (ME_T) to reject background compared to signal. On the other hand, initial searches for new physics at the LHC may not be able to rely on ME_T due to a variety of detector calibration issues. We show that much of SUSY parameter space is accessible to discovery even {\it without} using ME_T, and with rather low integrated luminosities 0.1-1 fb^{-1}. A key role is played by isolated lepton multiplicity which arises from gluino and squark cascade decays. Requiring \ge 3 isolated leptons plus jets yields a high rate of background rejection compared to signal. We find an LHC reach in m(gluino) of about 700-750 GeV for just 0.1 fb^{-1} of integrated luminosity by requiring events with \ge 4 jets plus \ge 3 isolated leptons but {\it without} using ME_T. If a large enough event sample is assembled, then kinematic reconstruction of sparticle mass properties should be possible just as in the case where large ME_T is required. SUSY without ME_T can also be seen in opposite-sign/same flavor {\it dilepton plus jets} events when a characteristic invariant mass edge stands out against background.
We consider supersymmetric (SUSY) models for the muon $g-2$ anomaly without flavor violating masses at the tree-level. The models can avoid LHC constraints and the vacuum stability constraint in the stau-Higgs potential. Although large flavor violating processes are not induced within the framework of minimal SUSY standard model, once we adopt a seesaw model, sizable lepton flavor violating (LFV) processes such as $μ\to e γ$ and $μ\to e$ conversion are induced. These LFV processes will be observed at future experiments such as MEG-II, COMET and Mu2e if right-handed neutrinos are heavier than $…
The ATLAS Collaboration has reported the first results of the search for SUSY particles in 1-lepton + 3 jets + MET final states. An essential ingredient for these results is a reliable background estimation in the signal region, in particular of the ttbar, W+jets and QCD backgrounds. The estimation of these three backgrounds is explained in this paper. The ttbar and W+jets backgrounds are obtained from a background dominated control region and extrapolated to the signal region, whereas for the estimation of the QCD background a matrix method is used.
I summarize the status of the inclusive SUSY searches conducted by the ATLAS and CMS experiments using the 20 fb-1 of 8 TeV LHC data in the all inclusive, 0 lepton, >=1 lepton and >=2 lepton final states. Current searches show that data are consistent with the SM. The impact of this consistency was explored on a rich variety of SUSY scenarios and simplified models, examples of which I present here.
Events with an isolated high $p_T$ lepton, a hadron jet and missing energy as observed in the H1 experiment at HERA, are potentially associated with R-parity violation in supersymmetric theories. However, stringent kinematic constraints must be fulfilled if the production of supersymmetric particles in R-parity violating scenarios were the correct path for explaining these puzzling events. A reference point \RF is specified for which these constraints are illustrated and implications of the supersymmetric interpretation for new classes of multi-lepton events are indicated.
We systematically analyze the correlations between the various leptonic and hadronic flavor violating processes arising in SUSY Grand Unified Theories. Using the GUT-symmetric relations between the soft SUSY breaking parameters, we assess the impact of hadronic and leptonic flavor observables on the SUSY sources of flavor violation.
We study the constraints on flavour violating terms in low energy SUSY coming from several processes as li -> lj gamma, li -> lj lj lj and mu -> e in Nuclei. We show that a combined analysis of the processes allows us to extract additional information with respect to an individual analysis of all the processes. In particular, it makes possible to put bounds on sectors previously unconstrained by li -> lj gamma. We perform the analysis both in the mass eigenstate and in the mass insertion approximations clarifying the limit of applicability of these approximations.
The observation of charged lepton flavour violation would be a smoking gun for new physics and could help in pinpointing the mechanism at the origin of neutrino masses and mixing. We present here our recent studies of lepton flavour violating Higgs decays in the inverse seesaw and its supersymmetric embedding, two examples of low-scale seesaw mechanisms. We predict branching ratios as large as $10^{-5}$ for the decays $h\rightarrow τμ$ and $h \rightarrow τe$ in the inverse seesaw, which can be probed in future colliders. Supersymmetric contributions can enhance the branching ratio of $h\righta…
Results of searches for SUSY production at CMS in events with third-generation signatures are presented. Along with missing energy, the final states may include hadronic jets with or without b-quark tag, light leptons, and tau leptons. These features serve both to distinguish standard-model components, and sensitivity to those SUSY models that lead to final states rich of heavy-flavored particles.
We study the stability of the neutral- and charged-current Drell-Yan process in association with a jet as a standard candle at the LHC under the inclusion of O(alpha_s) supersymmetric QCD (SQCD) corrections within the MSSM. We include the decay of the electroweak gauge boson into dileptons, i.e. we consider the production of charged lepton--anti-lepton or lepton-neutrino final states with one hard jet. We find that the SQCD corrections are negligible for the integrated cross section. Only at high lepton transverse momentum can they induce effects of the percent level.
Lepton flavor and CP violation in supersymmetric models are briefly reviewed. After a short motivation and an introduction to the phenomenology, model independent constraints on mass insertions, predictions of SUSY GUT models and rates for several LFV and CPV processes are presented.
We examine the ATLAS and CMS 7 & 8 TeV multijet supersymmetry (SUSY) searches requiring the incidence of a single lepton in the framework of the supersymmetric grand unified model No-Scale Flipped SU(5) with extra vector-like flippon multiplets derived from F-Theory, or F-SU(5) for short. Investigated are five multijet+lepton SUSY searches: 4.7/fb ATLAS 7 TeV gluino and light stop searches, as well as 13/fb ATLAS and 9.7/fb CMS 8 TeV light stop searches. Most significantly, all five leptonic SUSY searches represent statistically independent data samples. Findings show that all five orthogonal …
We propose a SUSY scenario to explain the current electron and muon $g-2$ discrepancies without introducing lepton flavor mixings. Threshold corrections to the Yukawa couplings can enhance the electron $g-2$ and flip the sign of the SUSY contributions. The mechanism predicts a flavor-dependent slepton mass spectrum. We show that it is compatible with the Higgs mediation scenario.
By using the anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments of the $τ$ lepton in an effective lagrangian approach to the new physics, we investigate the lepton flavor violation (LFV) decays, $l\to l'γ$, and $μ,τ$ anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments in a lepton mass matrices ansatz which induced by SUSY GUT. We put very stringent constraints LFV decays and $τ$ anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments.
We present a study of charged lepton mass matrix diagonalization in R-parity violating SUSY. The case in which the bilinear couplings $μ_i$ have large values is given special attention.
After a brief review of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) and specifically the Minimal Supergravity Model (SUGRA), the prospects for discovering and studying SUSY at the CERN Large Hadron Collider are reviewed. The possible role for a future Lepton Collider --- whether $μ^+μ^-$ or $e^+e^-$ --- is also discussed.
We discuss Lepton-Flavour-Violating phenomena such as $μ\to e γ$, $μ\to eee$, and $μ\to e$ conversion in nuclei in SUSY models with and without R-parity. We stress that experimental searches for all the LFV processes are important to distinguish between the different models.
We study cascade hierarchy in supersymmetric SU(5) grand unified theory. The neutrino Dirac mass matrix of the cascade form can lead to the tri-bimaximal generation mixing at the leading order in the seesaw mechanism while the down quark mass matrix of a hybrid cascade form naturally gives the CKM structure. We embed such experimentally favored mass textures into supersymmetric SU(5) GUT, which gives a relation between the down quark and charged lepton mass matrices. Related phenomenologies, such as lepton flavor violating processes and leptogenesis, are also investigated in addition to lepton…
We obtain predictions for the neutrino masses, the effective Majorana mass in neutrinoless double beta decay and for the rates of the lepton flavor violating processes $μ\rightarrow e + γ$, $τ\rightarrow e + γ$ and $ τ\rightarrow μ+ γ$ in a SUSY $SU(5) \times T^{\prime}$ Model of flavour, which gives rise to realistic masses and mixing patterns for quarks and leptons.
In the light of the recent muon (g_mu-2) result by the E821 experiment at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, we study the event rates of the charged lepton-flavour-violating (LFV) processes in the supersymmetric standard model (SUSY SM) with the heavy right-handed neutrinos (SUSY see-saw model). Since the left-handed sleptons get the LFV masses via the neutrino Yukawa interaction in this model, the event rate of mu->e gamma and the SUSY-SM correction to (g_mu-2)/2 (δa_mu^{SUSY}) are strongly correlated. When the left-handed sleptons have a LFV mass between the first and second generations ((m…
We show how an intermediate gauge symmetry breaking scale can be a source of lepton flavor violation and EDM of electron and neutron in SUSY GUTs. The Universal soft supersymmetry breaking operators can be introduced at the GUT scale or above.
Final states with leptons, jets and missing transverse energy are a promising way to detect Supersymmetry at the Large Hadron Collider. Results of simulation studies performed by the CMS and ATLAS collaborations are presented. The discovery of new physics is shown to be possible within the first fb^-1 of collected integrated luminosity.
We investigate the effect of supersymmetric (SUSY) threshold corrections on the values of the running quark and charged lepton masses at the GUT scale within the large $\tanβ$ regime of the MSSM. In addition to the typically dominant SUSY QCD contributions for the quarks, we also include the electroweak contributions for quarks and leptons and show that they can have significant effects. We provide the GUT scale ranges of quark and charged lepton Yukawa couplings as well as of the ratios $m_μ/m_s$, $m_e/m_d$, $y_τ/y_b$ and $y_t/y_b$ for three example ranges of SUSY parameters. We discuss how t…
We present a detailed investigation to establish that lepton-number (L) violating supersymmetry (SUSY) can be effectively probed at the LHC in the practically background-free same-sign trilepton (SS3l) and same-sign four-lepton (SS4l) channels. With this in view, we extend our earlier analysis of SS3l and SS4l signals by considering situations based on minimal supergravity as well as a phenomenological SUSY model. We find that the R-parity violating scenario predicts large event rates, for both the 7 and 14 TeV runs. Furthermore, we show that it is extremely unlikely to ever achieve similar ra…
We suggest new setup where SUSY breaking spurion F-term possesses lepton number. This setup not only modifies sparticle mass spectra but also realizes several new models, where neutrino mass is naturally induced through radiative corrections. We here suggest two new models; the first one is (i): pseudo-Dirac/Schizophrenic neutrino model, and the second one is (ii): pure Majorana neutrino model. We will also show this setup can naturally apply to the supersymmetric Zee-Babu model.
We analyze the scalar lepton mass matrices in a supersymmetric SO(10) grand unified model with soft SUSY breaking terms generated at Planck scale and a Georgi-Jarslkog Yukawa texture at GUT scale induced by higher dimensional operators. This model predicts lepton flavor violation. The predictive features of the Georgi-Jarlskog texture are used to estimate branching ratios for the radiative decays $e_{a} \rightarrow e_{b}+γ,$ and we find rates that could provide an experimental test for this kind of model.
Neutrino oscillations give clear evidence for non-vanishing neutrino masses and lepton-flavor violation (LFV) in the neutrino sector. This provides strong motivation to search for signals of LFV also in the charged lepton sector, and to probe the SUSY see-saw mechanism. We compare the sensitivity of rare radiative decays on the right-handed Majorana mass scale M_R with the reach in slepton-pair production at a future linear collider.
We consider relatively rare events of SUSY production at the LHC without missing $p_T$. Namely, we discuss the chargino production with further decay into the W-boson and the neutralino when the masses of chargino and neutralino differ by 80-90 GeV. In this case, in the final state one has two Ws and missing $E_T$ but no missing $P_T$. The produced neutralinos are just busted along Ws. Within the MSSM such events are quite probable in the region of parameter space close to the EWSB border line. The excess in the W production cross-section may achieve a few \%.
We study the distribution of lepton pairs from the second lightest neutralino decay \tildeχ^0_2-->\tilde{l}l followed by \tilde{l}\to \tildeχ^0_1 l. The distribution of the ratio of lepton transverse momenta A_T shows peak structure if m_{ll}< m^{max}_{ll}/2 is required. The peak position A_T^{peak} is described by a simple function of the ino and slepton masses in the m_{ll}\sim 0 limit. When a moderate m_{ll} cut is applied, A_T^{peak} depends on the \tildeχ^0_2 velocity distribution, but the dependence would be corrected by studying the lepton P_T distribution. A_T^{peak} and the edge of m_…
We study lepton flavor-violating (LFV) processes within a supersymmetric type-I seesaw framework with flavor-blind universal boundary conditions, properly accounting for the effect of the neutrino sector on the dark matter relic abundance. We consider several possibilities for the neutrino Yukawa coupling matrix and show that in regions of SUSY parameter space that yield the correct neutralino relic density, LFV rates can differ from naive estimates by up to two orders of magnitude. Contrary to common belief, we find that current LFV limits do not exclude neutrino Yukawa couplings larger than …
High precision electroweak tests, such as deviations from the Standard Model expectations of the Lepton Flavor Universality breaking in K->lnu (with l= e or mu), represent a powerful tool to test the Standard Model and, hence, to constrain or obtain indirect hints of New Physics beyond it. We explore such a possibility within Supersymmetric theories. Interestingly enough, a process that in itself does not need lepton flavor violation to occur, i.e. the violation of mu-e non-universality in K_l2, proves to be quite effective in constraining not only relevant regions of SUSY models where lepton …
In supersymmetric (SUSY) models the misalignment between fermion and sfermion families introduces unsuppressed flavor-changing processes. Even if the mass parameters are chosen to give no flavor violation, family dependent radiative corrections make this adjustment not stable. In particular, due to the observed large neutrino mixings and potentially large neutrino Yukawa couplings, sizable lepton flavor violation (LFV) is expected. After introducing the basic concepts, the framework and the main assumptions, we report on a recent study of rare leptonic decays in a class of SUSY-GUT models with…
In a $SU(6)$ gauge theory we found the irreducible representation (175-plet) which does not contain the Higgs doublet. Using this representation we construct two SUSY $SU(6)$ models in which the doublet-triplet splitting occurs naturally, without fine tuning. The crucial role is played by the ``custodial" global $SU(2)_H$ in combination with discrete or continuous $R$ symmetries.
We discuss a GUT realization of the supersymmetric triplet seesaw mechanism(recently proposed by us in hep-ph/0604083 and further analyzed in hep-ph/0607298) where the exchange of the heavy triplet states generates both neutrino masses and soft SUSY breaking terms.
Motivated by the recent measurements of the B_s-\bar{B}_s mass difference from the D0 and CDF collaborations, we probe new physics effects in the B_q-\bar{B}_q mixing within the context of the supersymmetric grand unified model (SUSY GUT). We find that new physics effects in B_{s(d)}-\bar{B}_{s(d)} mixing lead to the correlated information in the branching fractions of the lepton flavor violating decays, which may serve as a test of the SUSY GUT. We also discuss the implication of such new physics effects on the quark-lepton complementarity in the neutrino mixings.
We study the constraints on a minimal supersymmetric seesaw model imposed by neutrino data, charged lepton flavor violation, thermal leptogenesis and perturbativity. We show that it is possible to constrain the three heavy Majorana neutrino masses as well as the complex Yukawa coupling matrix. Our results provide a first step towards a seesaw benchmark model for further phenomenological studies and model building.
Taking the supersymmetric inverse seesaw mechanism as the explanation for neutrino oscillation data, we investigate charged lepton flavor violation in radiative and 3-body lepton decays as well as in neutrinoless $μ-e$ conversion in muonic atoms. In contrast to former studies, we take into account all possible contributions: supersymmetric as well as non-supersymmetric. We take CMSSM-like boundary conditions for the soft supersymmetry breaking parameters. We find several regions where cancellations between various contributions exist, reducing the lepton flavor violating rates by an order of m…
In this paper we review our main results for Lepton Flavour Violating (LFV) semileptonic tau decays and muon-electron conversion in nuclei within the context of two Constrained SUSY-Seesaw Models, the CMSSM and the NUHM. The relevant spectrum is that of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model extended by three right handed neutrinos, $ν_{R_i}$ and their corresponding SUSY partners, ${\tilde ν}_{R_i}$, ($i=1,2,3$). We use the seesaw mechanism for neutrino mass generation and choose a parameterisation of this mechanism that allows us to incorporate the neutrino data in our analysis of LFV proc…
A new release of the Monte Carlo program HERWIG (version 6.4) is now available. The main new features are: spin correlations between the production and decay of heavy fermions, i.e. top quarks, tau leptons and SUSY particles; polarization effects in SUSY production processes in lepton-lepton collisions; an interface to TAUOLA for tau decays; MSSM Higgs processes in lepton-lepton collisions.
Most models of weak scale supersymmetry (SUSY) predict observable rates for production of SUSY matter at the CERN LHC. The SUSY collider events are expected to be rich in jets, isolated (and non-isolated) leptons and missing E_T. After first discussing the merits of mixed axion/axino vs. neutralino cold dark matter in SUSY models, I then survey prospects for detecting SUSY matter at the LHC via leptonic signatures. In the paradigm mSUGRA model, cascade decays of gluinos and squarks should yield high rates for multi-jet plus multi-lepton events, allowing values of m_{\tg}\sim 3 (1.8) TeV to be …
We propose the Fritzsch-Branco-Silva-Marcos type fermion mass matrix, which is a typical texture in the nearest-neighbor interaction form, in SU(5) GUT. By evolution of the mass matrices with SU(5) GUT relations in the minimal SUSY standard model, we obtain predictions for the unitarity triangle of CP violation as well as the quark flavor mixing angles, which are consistent with experimental data, in the case of \tanβ\simeq 3.
That $μ\to e, γ$ and $τ\to μ,γ$ are sensitive probes of SUSY models with a see-saw mechanism is a well accepted fact. Here we propose a `top-down' approach in a general SUSY SO(10) scheme. In this framework, we show that at least one of the neutrino Yukawa couplings is as large as the top Yukawa coupling. This leads to a strong enhancement of these leptonic flavour changing decay rates. We examine two `extreme' cases, where the lepton mixing angles in the neutrino Yukawa couplings are either small (CKM-like) or large (PMNS-like). In these two cases, we quantify the sensitivity of leptonic radi…
Here we update the predictions for lepton flavour violating tau and muon decays, $l_j \to l_i γ$, $l_j \to 3 l_i$, and $μ-e$ conversion in nuclei. We work within a SUSY-seesaw context where the particle content of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model is extended by three right handed neutrinos plus their corresponding SUSY partners, and where a seesaw mechanism for neutrino mass generation is implemented. Two different scenarios with either universal or non-universal soft supersymmetry breaking Higgs masses at the gauge coupling unification scale are considered. After comparing the predic…
In this work we re-examine the correlation between B(d,s)-anti-B(d,s) mixing and Lepton Flavour Violation in the light of recent experimental measurements in the $B_s$ system. We perform a generic SUSY analysis of the allowed down squark mass insertion parameter space. In the SUSY GUT scenario this parameter space is then used to make predictions for LFV branching ratios. We find that the recent measurement for the CP phase $ϕ_s$ excludes the lowest rates for tau --> mu + gamma and provides a lower bound of ~ 3E-9 for tan beta = 10. Future experimental improvements in the bound on tau --> mu +…
We revisit the method of kinematical endpoints for particle mass determination, applied to the popular SUSY decay chain squark -> neutralino -> slepton -> LSP. We analyze the uniqueness of the solutions for the mass spectrum in terms of the measured endpoints in the observable invariant mass distributions. We provide simple analytical inversion formulas for the masses in terms of the measured endpoints. We show that in a sizable portion of the SUSY mass parameter space the solutions always suffer from a two-fold ambiguity, due to the fact that the original relations between the masses and the …
We present the first complete calculation of flavour violating lepton decays taking into account all supersymmetric (SUSY) and non-SUSY contributions in the context of the supersymmetric inverse seesaw, a specific SUSY low-scale seesaw model. We consider radiative and 3-body lepton decays as well as neutrinoless $μ-e$ conversion in muonic atoms and perform a full one-loop calculation in the mass basis. Taking CMSSM-like boundary conditions for the soft SUSY breaking parameters, we find that cancellations between different contributions are present in several regions, which might reduce the bra…
We study whether the individual violation of the lepton numbers L_{e,mu,tau} in the charged sector can lead to measurable rates for BR(mu->e gamma) and BR(tau->mu gamma). We consider three different scenarios, the fist one corresponds to the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with non-universal soft terms. In the other two cases the violation of flavor in the leptonic charged sector is associated to the neutrino problem in models with a see-saw mechanism and with R-parity violation respectively.
Motivated by the recent discovery of the Higgs boson at m_h = 126 GeV and also by the non-observation of superparticles at the LHC, high-scale SUSY, where the superparticles are as heavy as O(10) TeV, has been recently proposed. We study lepton-flavor violations (LFVs) in the high-scale SUSY with right-handed neutrinos. Even if the slepton masses are of O(10) TeV, the renormalization group (RG) effects on the slepton mass-squared matrix may induce large enough LFVs which are within the reach of future LFV experiments. We also discuss the implication of the right-handed neutrinos on the electro…
We present an update of previous work on charged lepton flavor violation (LFV) in the seesaw model. The most recent neutrino data fits and post WMAP mSUGRA benchmark scenarios are used as input. In this framework we compare the sensitivity of rare radiative decays on the right-handed Majorana mass scale M_R with the reach in slepton-pair production at a future linear collider.
In supersymmetric theories with R-parity breaking, sleptons can be produced in quark-antiquark annihilation at the Tevatron through interactions in which two quark fields are coupled to a slepton field. If at the same time trilinear slepton-lepton-lepton couplings are present, the sleptons can be searched for as resonances in $p\bar{p}\to \tildeν \to l^+l^-$ and $\tildeτ\to lν$ final states. Existing Tevatron data can be exploited to derive bounds on the Yukawa couplings of sleptons to quark and lepton pairs. Similar bounds can also be obtained from $e^+e^-$ annihilation to hadrons at LEP2.
We analyse the complementarity between Lepton Flavour Violation (LFV) and LHC experiments in probing the Supersymmetric (SUSY) Grand Unified Theories (GUT) when neutrinos got a mass via the see--saw mechanism. Our analysis is performed in an SO(10) framework, where at least one neutrino Yukawa coupling is necessarily as large as the top Yukawa coupling. Our study thoroughly takes into account the whole RG running, including the GUT and the right handed neutrino mass scales, as well as the running of the observable neutrino spectrum. We find that the upcoming (MEG, SuperKEKB) and future (PRISM/…
Color-singlet gauge bosons with renormalizable couplings to quarks but not to leptons must interact with additional fermions ("anomalons") required to cancel the gauge anomalies. Analyzing the decays of such leptophobic bosons into anomalons, I show that they produce final states involving leptons at the LHC. Resonant production of a flavor-universal leptophobic $Z'$ boson leads to cascade decays via anomalons, whose signatures include a leptonically decaying $Z$, missing energy and several jets. A $Z'$ boson that couples to the right-handed quarks of the first and second generations undergoes…
A final state consisting of one charged lepton, at least one jet, and little missing transverse energy can be a very promising signature of new physics at the LHC across a wide range of models. However, it has received only limited attention so far. In this work we discuss the potential sensitivity of this channel to various new physics scenarios. To demonstrate our point, we consider its application to lepton parton density functions (PDFs) at the LHC in the context of supersymmetry. These lepton PDFs can lead to resonant squark production (similar to leptoquarks) via lepton number violating …
We describe a kinematic method which is capable of determining the overall mass scale in SUSY-like events at a hadron collider with two missing (dark matter) particles. We focus on the kinematic topology in which a pair of identical particles is produced with each decaying to two leptons and an invisible particle (schematically, $pp\to YY+jets$ followed by each $Y$ decaying via $Y\to \ell X\to \ell\ell'N$ where $N$ is invisible). This topology arises in many SUSY processes such as squark and gluino production and decay, not to mention $t\anti t$ di-lepton decays. In the example where the final…
We address the constraints on the SUSY seesaw parameters arising from Lepton Flavour Violation observables. Working in the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model extended by three right-handed (s)neutrinos, we study the predictions for the branching ratios of $l_j \to l_i γ$ and $l_j \to 3 l_i$ channels. We impose compatibility with neutrino data, electric dipole moment bounds, and further require a successful baryon asymmetry of the Universe (via thermal leptogenesis). We emphasise the interesting interplay between $θ_{13}$ and the LFV muon decays, pointing out the hints on the SUS…
The predictions for the mass of the light CP-even Higgs are investigated in the context of a simple extension of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model where the baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries. This theory predicts the existence of light charged and neutral leptons which give extra contributions to the Higgs mass at the one-loop level. We show the possibility to satisfy the LEP2 bound and achieve a Higgs mass around 125 GeV in a supersymmetric spectrum with light sfermions and small left-right mixing in the stop sector. We make a brief discussion of the unique leptonic…
In this work we study the Lepton Flavour Violating semileptonic tau --> mu f0(980) decay within the context of SUSY-Seesaw Models, where the MSSM spectrum is extended by three right handed neutrinos and their SUSY partners, and where the seesaw mechanism is used to generate the neutrino masses. We estimate its decay rate when it proceeds via the Higgs mediated channel tau --> mu H* --> mu f0(980), where H refers to the CP-even MSSM Higgs bosons h^0 and H^0, and the Lepton Flavour Violating tau mu H vertex is radiatively generated via SUSY loops. In order to describe the f0(980) meson we follow…
The Higgs and some of the Standard Model superpartners may have been copiously produced at LEP and the Tevatron without being detected. We study a novel scenario of this type in which the Higgs decays predominantly into a light hidden sector either directly or through light SUSY states. Subsequent cascades increase the multiplicity of hidden sector particles which, after decaying back into the Standard Model, appear in the detector as clusters of collimated leptons known as lepton jets. We identify the relevant collider observables that characterize this scenario, and study a wide range of LEP…
We compute the effect of non diagonal neutrino mass in l_i -> l_j gamma in SUSY theories with non trivial Quark-Lepton complementarity and a flavor symmetry. The correlation matrix V_M=U_{CKM}U_{PMNS} is such that its (1,3) entry, as preferred by the present experimental data, is zero. We do not assume that $V_M$ is bimaximal. Quark-Lepton complementarity and the flavor symmetry strongly constrain the theory and we obtain a clear prediction for the contribution to mu -> e gamma and the tau decays tau -> e gamma and tau -> mu gamma. If the Dirac neutrino Yukawa couplings are degenerate but the …
