We extend a constrained version of Implicit Regularization (CIR) beyond one loop order for gauge field theories. In this framework, the ultraviolet content of the model is displayed in terms of momentum loop integrals order by order in perturbation theory for any Feynman diagram, while the Ward-Slavnov-Taylor identities are controlled by finite surface terms. To illustrate, we apply CIR to massless abelian Gauge Field Theories (scalar and spinorial QED) to two loop order and calculate the two-loop beta-function of the spinorial QED.
Implicit Regularization is a 4-dimensional regularization initially conceived to treat ultraviolet divergences. It has been successfully tested in several instances in the literature, more specifically in those where Dimensional Regularization does not apply. In the present contribution we extend the method to handle infrared divergences as well. We show that the essential steps which rendered Implicit Regularization adequate in the case of ultraviolet divergences have their counterpart for infrared ones. Moreover we show that a new scale appears, typically an infrared scale which is completel…
We establish a systematic way to calculate multiloop amplitudes of infrared safe massless models with Implicit Regularization (IR), with a direct cancelation of the fictitious mass introduced by the procedure. The ultraviolet content of such amplitudes have a simple structure and its separation permits the identification of all the potential symmetry violating terms, the surface terms. Moreover, we develop a technique for the calculation of an important kind of finite multiloop integral which seems particularly convenient to use Feynman parametrization. Finally, we discuss the Implicit Regular…
In this paper we consider matter fields in a gravitational background in order to compute the breaking of the conformal current at one-loop order. Standard perturbative calculations of conformal symmetry breaking expressed by the non-zero trace of the energy-momentum tensor have shown that some violating terms are regularization dependent, which may suggest the existence of spurious breaking terms in the anomaly. Therefore, we perform the calculation in a momentum space regularization framework in which regularization dependent terms are judiciously parametrized. We compare our results with th…
Implicit Regularization (IReg) is a candidate to become an invariant framework in momentum space to perform Feynman diagram calculations to arbitrary loop order. In this work we present a systematic implementation of our method that automatically displays the terms to be subtracted by Bogoliubov's recursion formula. Therefore, we achieve a twofold objective: we show that the IReg program respects unitarity, locality and Lorentz invariance and we show that our method is consistent since we are able to display the divergent content of a multi-loop amplitude in a well defined set of basic diverge…
There is currently a high demand for theoretical predictions for processes at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) and beyond, mainly due to the large amount of data which has already been collected at LHC. This requires practical methods that meet the physical requirements of the models under study. We develop a new procedure for applying Constrained Implicit Regularization which simplifies the calculation of amplitudes, including finite parts. The algebraic identities to separate the divergent parts free from the external momenta are used after the Feynman parametrization. These algebraic id…
Quantum Field Theory, as the keystone of particle physics, has allowed great insights to deciphering the core of Nature. Despite its striking success, by adhering to local interactions, Quantum Field Theory suffers from the appearance of divergent quantities in intermediary steps of the calculation, which encompasses the need for some regularization/renormalization prescription. As an alternative to traditional methods, based on the analytic extension of space-time dimension, frameworks that stay in the physical dimension have emerged, Implicit Regularization is one among them. We briefly revi…
We formulate the higher covariant derivative regularization for N=2 supersymmetric gauge theories in N=2 harmonic superspace. This regularization is constructed by adding the N=2 supersymmetric higher derivative term to the classical action and inserting the N=2 supersymmetric Pauli--Villars determinants into the generating functional for removing one-loop divergencies. Unlike all other regularization schemes in N=2 supersymmetric quantum field theory, this regularization preserves by construction the manifest N=2 supersymmetry at all steps of calculating loop corrections to the effective acti…
We study the Lorentz and Dirac algebra, including antisymmetric $ε$ tensors and the $γ_5$ matrix, in implicit gauge-invariant regularization/renormalization methods defined in fixed integer dimensions. They include constrained differential, implicit and four-dimensional renormalization. We find that these fixed-dimension methods face the same difficulties as the different versions of dimensional regularization. We propose a consistent procedure in these methods, similar to the consistent version of regularization by dimensional reduction.
Most calculations of quantum corrections in supersymmetric theories are made with the dimensional reduction, which is a modification of the dimensional regularization. However, it is well known that the dimensional reduction is not self-consistent. A consistent regularization, which does not break the supersymmetry, is the higher covariant derivative regularization. However, the integrals obtained with this regularization can not be usually calculated analytically. We discuss application of this regularization to the calculations in supersymmetric theories. In particular, it is demonstrated th…
A final goal for thimble regularization of lattice field theories is the application to lattice QCD and the study of its phase diagram. Gauge theories pose a number of conceptual and algorithmic problems, some of which can be addressed even in the framework of toy models. We report on our progresses in this field, starting in particular from first successes in the study of one link models.

We consider Lifshitz-type scalar theories with explicit breaking of the Lorentz symmetry that, in addition, exhibit anisotropic scaling laws near the ultraviolet fixed point. Using the proper time regularization method on the spatial coordinates only, we derive the regularized form of the one-loop effective potential in such theories. We study the main features of the one-loop effective potential and, also, the RG flow of the scale-dependent potential both in the IR and UV regimes. The beta functions for the couplings are derived.
