As a result of some mistakes discovered in the paper mentioned in the title, Corollaries 3.5 and 3.17a) are withdrawn and a new proof is provided for Proposition 3.14, under the added assumption that the second dual of the underlying Banach space Y possesses the Radon-Nykodim property.
A representation for the Kantorovich--Rubinstein distance between probability measures on an abstract Wiener space in terms of the extended stochastic integral (or, divergence) operator is obtained.
The paper gives some properties of hitting times and an analogue of the Wiener-Hopf factorization for the Kendall random walk. We show also that the Williamson transform is the best tool for problems connected with the Kendall generalized convolution.
The proofs of Theorem 3.1 and Corollary 4.1 in Leão and Ohashi (2013) are incomplete. The reason is a wrong statement in Remark 2.2. The hypotheses and statements of Theorem 3.1 and Corollary 4.1 in Leão and Ohashi (2013) remain unchanged but the proofs have to be modified. In this short note, we provide the details.
In [NP09a], Nourdin and Peccati established a neat characterization of Gamma approximation on a fixed Wiener chaos in terms of convergence of only the third and fourth cumulants. In this paper, we investigate the rate of convergence in Gamma approximation on Wiener chaos in terms of the iterated Gamma operators of Malliavin Calculus. On the second Wiener chaos, our upper bound can be further extended to an exact rate of convergence in a suitable probability metric $d_2$ in terms of the maximum of the third and fourth cumulants, analogous to that of normal approximation in [NP15] under one extr…
We prove a new type of Poincaré inequality on abstract Wiener spaces for a family of probability measures which are absolutely continuous with respect to the reference Gaussian measure. This class of probability measures is characterized by the strong positivity (a notion introduced by Nualart and Zakai in [17]) of their Radon-Nikodym densities. Measures of this type do not belong in general to the class of log-concave measures, which are a wide class of measures satisfying the Poincaré inequality (Brascamp and Lieb [2]). Our approach is based on a point-wise identity relating Wick and ordinar…
We use Malliavin operators in order to prove quantitative stable limit theorems on the Wiener space, where the target distribution is given by a possibly multidimensional mixture of Gaussian distributions. Our findings refine and generalize previous works by Nourdin and Nualart [J. Theoret. Probab. 23 (2010) 39-64] and Harnett and Nualart [Stochastic Process. Appl. 122 (2012) 3460-3505], and provide a substantial contribution to a recent line of research, focussing on limit theorems on the Wiener space, obtained by means of the Malliavin calculus of variations. Applications are given to quadra…
We consider a class of one-dimensional nonlinear stochastic parabolic problems associated with Sellers and Budyko diffusive energy balance climate models with a Legendre weighted diffusion and an additive cylindrical Wiener processes forcing. Our results use in an important way that, under suitable assumptions on the Wiener processes, a suitable change of variables leads the problem to a pathwise random PDE, hence an essentially "deterministic" formulation depending on a random parameter. Two applications are also given: the stability of solutions when the Wiener process converges to zero and …
Let $W_i=\{W_i(t_i), t_i\in \R_+\}, i=1,2,\ldots,d$ are independent Wiener processes. $W=\{W(\mathbf{t}),t\in \R_+^d\}$ be the additive Wiener field define as the sum of $W_i$. For any trend $f$ in $\kHC$ (the reproducing kernel Hilbert Space of $W$), we derive upper and lower bounds for the boundary non-crossing probability $$P_f=P\{\sum_{i=1}^{d}W_i(t_i) +f(\mathbf{t})\leq u(\mathbf{t}), \mathbf{t}\in\R_+^d\},$$ where $u: \R_+^d\rightarrow \R_+$ is a measurable function. Furthermore, for large trend functions $γf>0$, we show that the asymptotically relation $\ln P_{γf}\sim \ln P_{γ\underline…
We derive new limit theorems for Brownian motion, which can be seen as non-exponential analogues of the large deviation theorems of Sanov and Schilder in their Laplace principle forms. As a first application, we obtain novel scaling limits of backward stochastic differential equations and their related partial differential equations. As a second application, we extend prior results on the small-noise limit of the Schrödinger problem as an optimal transport cost, unifying the control-theoretic and probabilistic approaches initiated respectively by T. Mikami and C. Léonard. Lastly, our results s…
Quantitative limit theorems for non-linear functionals on the Wiener space are considered. Given the possibly infinite sequence of kernels of the chaos decomposition of such a functional, an estimate for different probability distances between the functional and a Gaussian random variable in terms of contraction norms of these kernels is derived. The applicability of this result is demonstrated by means of the Breuer-Major theorem, unfolding thereby a new connection between the Hermite rank of the considered function and a chaotic gap. Especially, power variations of the fractional Brownian mo…
