We investigated the disentanglement dynamics of two-qubit system in Non-Markovian approach. We showed that only the couple strength with the environment near to or less than fine-structure constant 1/137, entanglement appear exponential decay for a certain class of two-qubit entangled state. While the coupling between qubit and the environment is much larger, system always appears the sudden-death of entanglement even in the vacuum environment.
We investigate the non-Markovian characteristics in continuous measurement of a charge qubit by a quantum point contact. The backflow of information from the reservoir to the system in the non-Markovian domain gives rise to strikingly different qubit relaxation and dephasing in comparison with the Markovian case. The intriguing non-Markovian dynamics is found to have a direct impact on the output noise feature of the detector. Unambiguously, we observe that the non-Markovian memory effect results in an enhancement of the signal-to-noise ratio, which can even exceed the upper limit of ``4'', le…
We study qubit-mediated energy transfer between two electron reservoirs by adopting a numerically-exact influence functional path-integral method. This non-perturbative technique allows us to study the system's dynamics beyond the weak coupling limit. Our simulations for the energy current indicate that perturbative-Markovian Master equation predictions significantly deviate from exact numerical results already at intermediate coupling, $πρα_{j,j'}\gtrsim 0.4$, where $ρ$ is the metal (Fermi sea) density of states, taken as a constant, and $α_{j,j'}$ is the scattering potential energy of electr…
Entangled qubit pairs can serve as a quantum memory or as a resource for quantum communication. The utility of such pairs is measured by how long they take to disentangle or decohere. To answer the question of whether qubit-qubit interactions can prolong entanglement, we calculate the dissipative dynamics of a pair of qubits coupled via the exchange interaction in the presence of random telegraph noise and $1/f$ noise. We show that for maximally entangled (Bell) states, the exchange interaction generally suppresses decoherence and disentanglement. This suppression is more apparent for random t…
A new analytical approach, beyond rotating wave approximation, based on unitary transformations and the non-Markovian master equation for the density operator, is applied to treat the biased spin boson model with a Lorentzian structured bath for arbitrary detunings at zero temperature. Compared to zero bias, we find that the dynamics demonstrates two more damping oscillation frequencies and one additional relaxation frequency for non-zero bias, where one of the damping oscillation frequencies is a new effect. Analytical expressions for the non-Markovian dynamics and the corresponding spectrum,…
We study qubit decoherence under generalized dispersive readout, i.e., we investigate a qubit coupled to a resonantly driven dissipative harmonic oscillator. We provide a complete picture by allowing for arbitrarily large qubit-oscillator detuning and by considering also a coupling to the square of the oscillator coordinate, which is relevant for flux qubits. Analytical results for the decoherence time are obtained by a transformation of the qubit-oscillator Hamiltonian to the dispersive frame and a subsequent master equation treatment beyond the Markov limit. We predict a crossover from Marko…
In the context of a charge qubit under continuous monitoring by a single electron transistor, we propose an unraveling of the generalized quantum Markovian master equation into an ensemble of individual quantum trajectories for stochastic point process. A suboptimal feedback algorism is implemented into individual quantum trajectories to protect a desired pure state. Coherent oscillations of the charge qubit could be maintained in principle for an arbitrarily long time in case of sufficient feedback strength. The effectiveness of the feedback control is also reflected in the detector's noise s…
We investigate the open dynamics of a qubit due to scattering of a single photon in an infinite or semi-infinite waveguide. Through an exact solution of the time-dependent multi-photon scattering problem, we find the qubit's dynamical map. Tools of open quantum systems theory allow us then to discuss the general features of this map, find the corresponding non-Linbladian master equation, and assess in a rigorous way its non-Markovian nature. The qubit dynamics has distinctive features that, in particular, do not occur in emission processes. Two fundamental sources of non-Markovianity are prese…
The filter function formalism quantitatively describes the dephasing of a qubit by a bath that causes Gaussian fluctuations in the qubit energies with an arbitrary noise power spectrum. Here, we extend this formalism to account for more general types of noise that couple to the qubit through terms that do not commute with the qubit's bare Hamiltonian. Our approach applies to any power spectrum that generates slow noise fluctuations in the qubit's evolution. We demonstrate our formalism in the case of singlet-triplet qubits subject to both quasistatic nuclear noise and $1/ω^α$ charge noise and …
We study the dynamics of a transmon qubit that is capacitively coupled to an open multimode superconducting resonator. Our effective equations are derived by eliminating resonator degrees of freedom while encoding their effect in the Green's function of the electromagnetic background. We account for the dissipation of the resonator exactly by employing a spectral representation for the Green's function in terms of a set of non-Hermitian modes and show that it is possible to derive effective Heisenberg-Langevin equations without resorting to the rotating wave, two level or Markov approximations…
We study the generation and evolution of entanglement between two qubits coupled through one-dimensional waveguide modes. By using a complete quantum electrodynamical formalism we go beyond the Markovian approximation. The diagonalization of the hamiltonian is carried out, and a set of quasi-localized eigenstates is found. We show that when the qubit-waveguide coupling is increased, the Markov approximation is not anymore valid, and the generation of entanglement is worsened.
