Indirect information about the possible scale of supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking is provided by B-physics observables (BPO) as well as electroweak precision observables (EWPO). We combine the constraints imposed by recent measurements of the BPO BR(b -> s gamma), BR(B_s -> mu^+ mu^-), BR(B_u -> tau nu_tau) and Delta M_{B_s} with those obtained from the experimental measurements of the EWPO M_W, sin^2 theta_eff, Gamma_Z, (g-2)_mu and M_h, incorporating the latest theoretical calculations of these observables within the Standard Model and supersymmetric extensions. We perform a chi^2 fit to the parameters of the constrained minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (CMSSM), in which the SUSY-breaking parameters are universal at the GUT scale, and the non-universal Higgs model (NUHM), in which this constraint is relaxed for the soft SUSY-breaking contributions to the Higgs masses. Assuming that the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) provides the cold dark matter density preferred by WMAP and other cosmological data, we scan over the remaining parameter space. Within the CMSSM, we confirm the preference found previously for a relatively low SUSY-breaking scale, though there is some slight tension between the EWPO and the BPO. In studies of some specific NUHM scenarios compatible with the cold dark matter constraint we investigate M_A-tan_beta planes and find preferred regions that have values of chi^2 somewhat lower than in the CMSSM.
I review the mechanism of electroweak baryogenesis within the framework of a string motivated supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with large flavor-independent CP-violating phases. Possible implications for the Higgs sector are considered in correlation with the properties of the right-handed stop. I also comment on the compatibility of supersymmetric electroweak baryogenesis with various CP-violating observables.
The $αm_t^2/m_W^2$ order supersymmetric electroweak corrections arising from loops of chargino, neutralino, and squark to top quark pair production by $gg$ fusion at LHC are calculated in the minimal supersymmetric model. We found that the corrections amount about a few percent.
We have calculated the $O(α_{ew} M_t^2/M_W^2)$ supersymmetric electroweak corrections to single top quark production via $q\bar q' \to t\bar b$ at the Fermilab Tevatron in the minimal supersymmetric model. The supersymmetric electroweak corrections to the cross section are a few percent for $tan β> 1$, and can exceed 10% for $tanβ<1$. The combined effects of SUSY electroweak corrections and the Yukawa corrections can exceed 10% for favorable parameter values, which might be observable at a high-luminosity Tevatron.
Severe constraints on parameters of the minimal supersymmetric standard model follow from a dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism dominated by top and stop loops. In particular, the lightest Higgs boson mass is expected to be smaller than 100 GeV.
The possibility of electroweak baryogenesis is considered within the framework of a left-right supersymmetric model. It is shown that for a range of parameters the large sneutrino VEV required for parity breaking varies at the electroweak phase transition leading to a production of baryons. The resulting baryon to entropy ratio is approximated to be ${n_B\over s}\sim α0.7 \times10^{-8}$, where $α$ is the angle that the phase of sneutrino VEV changes at the electroweak phase transition.
We study electroweak baryogenesis in the E_6 inspired exceptional supersymmetric standard model ( E_6SSM ). The relaxation coefficients driven by singlinos and the new gaugino as well as the transport equation of the Higgs supermultiplet number density in the E_6SSM are calculated. Our numerical simulation shows that both CP-violating source terms from singlinos and the new gaugino can solely give rise to a correct baryon asymmetry of the Universe via the electroweak baryogenesis mechanism.
Contrary to common belief, the requirement that supersymmetry exists and that there are two Higgs doublets and no singlet at the electroweak energy scale does not necessarily result in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). Two interesting alternatives are presented.

The Higgs potential of the minimal nonminimal supersymmetric standard model (MNMSSM) is investigated within the context of electroweak phase transition. We investigate the allowed parameter space yielding correct electroweak phase transitoin employing a high temperature approximation. We devote to phenomenological consequences for the Higgs sector of the MNMSSM for electron-positron colliders. It is observed that a future $e^+ e^-$ linear collider with $\sqrt{s} = 1000$ GeV will be able to test the model with regard to electroweak baryogenesis.
Baryon number (B) is automatically conserved in the standard SU(2) X U(1) electroweak gauge model, but not in its supersymmetric extension where it must be imposed as an extra condition. This undesirable feature is avoided in the conventional left-right supersymmetric extension, but then flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC) are not naturally suppressed. A new version is proposed with automatic B conservation as well as FCNC suppression (except for u quarks through scalar exchange).
In principle, the baryon asymmetry of the Universe can be generated at the electroweak phase transition but the experimental lower limit on the Higgs mass seems to rule out a Standard Model scenario. However, it has been shown recently that in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, the electroweak phase transition can be a strong enough first order one for baryogenesis if the mass of one top squark is close to or smaller than the top mass.
We review the mechanism of radiative electroweak symmetry breaking taking place in SUSY versions of the standard model. We further discuss different proposals for the origin of SUSY-breaking and the corresponding induced SUSY-breaking soft terms. Several proposals for the understanding of the little hierarchy problem are critically discussed.
Electroweak baryogenesis provides a very attractive scenario to explain the origin of the baryon asymmetry. The mechanism of electroweak baryogenesis makes use of the baryon number anomaly and relies on physics that can be tested experimentally. It is today understood that, if the Higgs mass is not larger than 120 GeV, this mechanism may be effective within supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model. In this work, we reconsider the question of baryon number generation at the electroweak phase transition within the context of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. We d…
We compute, in the MSSM framework, the total electroweak contributions at one loop for the process pp -> tW+X, initiated by the parton process bg -> tW. The supersymmetric effect is analyzed for various choices of the SUSY benchmark points. Choosing realistic unpolarized and polarized experimental quantities, we show the size of the various effects and discuss their dependence on the MSSM parameters.
We revisit the results of recent electroweak baryogenesis calculations and include all allowed large CP-violating supersymmetric phases. If the phases are large, the resulting baryon asymmetry can be considerably larger than the observed value $n_B/s \sim 4 \times 10^{-11}$. Much of the asymmetry must therefore be washed out, and we argue that the upper bound on the light Higgs mass is larger than the value reported in previous work.
We discuss the mechanism for electroweak symmetry breaking in supersymmetric versions of the standard model. After briefly reviewing the possible sources of supersymmetry breaking, we show how the required pattern of symmetry breaking can automatically result from the structure of quantum corrections in the theory. We demonstrate that this radiative breaking mechanism works well for a heavy top quark and can be combined in unified versions of the theory with excellent predictions for the running couplings of the model. (To be published in ``Perspectives in Higgs Physics'', G. Kane editor.)
Taking into account the mixing effects between left- and right-handed top-squarks, we calculate the genuine supersymmetric eletroweak correction to top quark production at the Tevatron in the minimal supersymmetric model. The analytic expressions of the corrections to both the parton level cross section and the total hadronic cross section are presented. Some numerical examples are also given to show the size of the corrections.
We argue that the creation of a baryon asymmetry in the early universe is an intriguing case where several aspects of ``Beyond'' physics are needed. We then concentrate on baryogenesis in a strong first-order phase transition and discuss that supersymmetric variants of the electroweak theory (MSSM and some version of NMSSM) rather naturally provide the necessary ingredients. The charginos and the stops play a prominent role. We present CP-violating dispersion relations in the chargino sector and show results of a concrete model calculation for the asymmetry production based on quasi-classical …
We calculate the $O(α_{ew}m_{t(b)}^{2}/m_{W}^{2})$ and $O(α_{ew} m_{t(b)}^4/m_W^4)$ supersymmetric electroweak corrections to the process $H^+\to W^+h$ in the Minimal Supersymmetric Model. These corrections arise from the virtual effects of the third family quaurks (top and bottom) and squarks (top-squark and bottom-squark). We find that for $m_{H^+}>200$GeV at low $\tanβ(\leq 3)$, the corrections can increase the tree-level decay widths and the branching radios more than 20% and 40%, respectively.
In two recently proposed supersymmetric extended electroweak gauge models, the reduced Higgs sector at the 100-GeV energy scale consists of only two doublets, but they have quartic scalar couplings different from those of the minimal supersymmetric standard model. In the SU(2) X SU(2) X U(1) model, there is an absolute upper bound of about 145 GeV on the mass of the lightest neutral scalar boson. In the SU(3) X U(1) model, there is only a parameter-dependent upper bound which formally goes to infinity in a particular limit
We calculate the baryon asymmetry generated at the electroweak phase transition in the minimal supersymmetric standard model, using a new method to compute the CP-violating asymmetry in the Higgsino flux reflected into the unbroken phase. The method is based on a Higgs insertion expansion. We find that the CP asymmetry at leading order is proportional to the change in $\tan β$ in the bubble wall, which is at most of order $10^{-2}$, while at next-to-leading order this suppression factor disappears. This result may enhance the final baryon asymmetry generated during the electroweak phase transi…
The electroweak symmetry is nonlinearly realized in an extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) through an additional pair of constrained Higgs doublet superfields. The superpotential couplings of this constrained Higgs doublet pair to the MSSM Higgs doublet pair catalyze their vacuum expectation values. The Higgs and Higgsino-gaugino mass spectrum is presented for several choices of supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking and Higgs superpotential mass parameters. The additional vacuum expectation values provided by the constrained fields can produce a phenomenology quite different …
We study a model with an exotic new sector strongly coupled to the Higgs boson, in which supersymmetry is introduced to protect the quartic coupling from a large running and avoid potential vacuum stability problem. The fermionic components present vector like mass terms, through which the Higgs diphoton decay branching ratio can be tuned. The bosonic components trigger a strongly first order electroweak phase transition. We find a large parameter region of effective Yukawa coupling $y\gtrsim2$ and mass parameters $m_f\sim m_s$ of a few hundred GeV, that can simultaneously accommodate the diph…
The $O(α_{ew}m_{t(b)}^{2}/m_{W}^{2})$ and $O(α_{ew} m_{t(b)}^4/m_W^4)$ supersymmetric electroweak corrections to the cross section for $W^{\pm}H^{\mp}$ associated production at the LHC are calculated in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. Those corrections arise from the quantum effects which are induced by the Yukawa couplings from the Higgs sector and the genuine supersymmetric electroweak couplings involving supersymmetric particles, i.e. chargino-top(bottom)-sbottom(stop) couplings, neutralino-top(bottom)-stop(sbottom) couplings and charged Higgs-stop-sbottom couplings. The Yukawa c…
We calculate the two-loop QCD correction to the scalar quark contributions to the electroweak gauge-boson self-energies at zero momentum-transfer in the supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. We then derive the $O(α_s)$ correction to the contribution of the scalar top and bottom quark loops to the rho parameter, which is the most sizable supersymmetric contribution to the electroweak mixing angle and the W-boson mass. The two-loop corrections modify the one-loop contribution by up to 30%; the gluino decouples for large masses. Contrary to the SM case where the QCD corrections are nega…
We analyze the quantum transport equations for supersymmetric electroweak baryogenesis including previously neglected bottom and tau Yukawa interactions and show that they imply the presence of a previously unrecognized dependence of the cosmic baryon asymmetry on the spectrum of third generation quark and lepton superpartners. For fixed values of the CP-violating phases in the supersymmetric theory, the baryon asymmetry can vary in both magnitude and sign as a result of the squark and slepton mass dependence. For light, right-handed top and bottom quark superpartners, the baryon number creati…
We correct a numerical error which led to an overestimate of the baryon asymmetry from supersymmetric electroweak baryogenesis in our paper JHEP07(2000)018. Updated dependences of the baryon asymmetry on chargino mass parameters and the bubble wall velocity are shown. We also include LEP-II-constraints on the chargino mass parameters. Combined with our corrected results for the baryon asymmetry these constraints imply that the phase in the chargino mass matrix must violate CP nearly maximally in order to generate a large enough baryon asymmetry. A number of other typographical errors are also …
The Standard Model does not provide a very good fit to the most recent precision electroweak data from LEP, due primarily to the observed branching ratios for $Z$ decay to $b\bar b$ and $c\bar c$. The possibility that an extension of the Standard Model with low-energy supersymmetry can improve the agreement between data and theory is considered.
We evaluate the supersymmetric (SUSY) electroweak corrections to the effect of parity nonconservation in $q {\bar q} \to t {\bar t}$ production at the Fermilab Tevatron predicted by the Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM). We find that the parity nonconserving asymmetry from the SUSY electroweak and SUSY Yukawa loop corrections predicted by the minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) model and the MSSM models with scenarios motivated by current data is about one percent. It will be challenging to observe such a small asymmetry at the Tevatron with 10 fb^{-1} of luminosity. It could however be observable…
We present a precise calculation of the lightest neutral Higgs boson production associated with top quark pair at a linear collider. The full one-loop electroweak ${\cal O}(α_{ew})$ contributions to the process $e^+e^- \to t\bar t h^0$ within the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) are included. We analyze the dependence of the electroweak corrections on the MSSM parameters such as $M_{A^0}$, $\tanβ$, $M_2$, $A_{f}$, $M_{SUSY}$ and $μ$. The results show that the full one-loop electroweak radiative corrections turn out to be about -20% quantitatively and thus are important for future $…
Electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) offers a compelling narrative for the generation of the baryon asymmetry, however it cannot be realised in the Standard Model, and leads to severe experimental tensions in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). One of the reasons for these experimental tensions is that in traditional approaches to EWBG new physics is required to enter at the electroweak phase transition, which conventionally is fixed near $\sim$100 GeV. Here we demonstrate that the addition of sub-TeV fields in supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model permits TeV-scale strongly…
The process of charged Higgs production in association with a top quark at the LHC has been calculated at the complete NLO electroweak level both in a Two Higgs Doublets Model and in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, assuming a mSUGRA breaking scheme. We have numerically explored the size of the one-loop corrections in two typical supersymmetric scenarios, with particular attention to the tan beta dependence, and we have found that they remain perturbatively small but possibly sizable, reaching a 20% limit for extreme values of tan beta, when the complete set of Feynman diagrams is ta…
In the electroweak phase transition there arises the problem of baryon number washout by sphaleron transitions, which can be avoided if the phase transition is strongly enough first order. The minimal supersymmetric standard model has just two Higgs doublets H1 and H2, while the next to minimal model, NMSSM, has an additional singlet, N, this latter giving rise to the helpful feature that the Higgs potential contains a tree level trilinear field term. We use the tunneling criterion for the existence of a first order electroweak phase change. A quantitative statistical analysis indicates that w…
Within the framework of the MSSM, we compute the electroweak one-loop supersymmetric quantum corrections to the width $Γ(t\rightarrow W^{+}\, b)$ of the canonical main decay of the top quark. The results are presented in two on-shell renormalization schemes parametrized either by $α$ or $G_F$. While in the standard model, and in the Higgs sector of the MSSM, the electroweak radiative corrections in the $G_F$-scheme are rather insensitive to the top quark mass and are of order of $1\%$ at most, the rest (``genuine'' part) of the supersymmetric quantum effects in the MSSM amount to a non-negligi…
We consider a supersymmetric version of the recently proposed SU(3) X U(1) extended gauge model. We show that it is possible to have only two Higgs doublets at the SU(2) X U(1) energy scale but they are not those of the minimal supersymmetric standard model. In particular, the upper bound on the lightest scalar boson of this model is $4 M_Z \sin θ_W$ at tree level and goes up to 189 GeV after radiative corrections.
The high accuracy envisaged for future measurements of W-boson production at hadron colliders has to be matched by precise theoretical predictions. We study the impact of electroweak radiative corrections on W-boson production cross sections and differential distributions at the Tevatron and at the LHC. In particular, we include photon-induced processes, which contribute at O(alpha), and leading radiative corrections beyond O(alpha) in the high-energy Sudakov regime and from multi-photon final-state radiation. We furthermore present the calculation of the complete supersymmetric next-to-leadin…
The minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) is extended by including an additional pair of constrained Higgs doublet superfields through which the electroweak symmetry is nonlinearly realized. The superpotential couplings of this constrained Higgs doublet pair to the MSSM Higgs doublet pair catalyze the later nontrivial vacuum expectation values. The mass spectrum of the Higgs scalars and Higgsino-gaugino sector is presented for several choices of supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking and Higgs superpotential mass parameters. The effect of the the additional constrained fields and multiple vacuum…
Within the framework of the MSSM, we compute the complete set of electroweak one-loop supersymmetric quantum effects on the width $Γ_Z$ of the $Z$-boson in the on-shell renormalization scheme. Numerical analyses of the corrections to the various partial widths into leptons and quarks are presented. On general grounds, the average size of the electroweak SUSY corrections to $Γ_Z$ may well saturate the level of the present theoretical uncertainties, even if considering the full supersymmetric spectrum lying in the neighbourhood of the unaccessible LEP 200 range. Remarkably enough, for the presen…
We investigate the one-loop effect of new charged scalar bosons on the Higgs potential at finite temperatures in the supersymmetric standard model with four Higgs doublet chiral superfields as well as a pair of charged singlet chiral superfields. In this model, the mass of the lightest Higgs boson $h$ is determined only by the D-term in the Higgs potential at the tree-level, while the triple Higgs boson coupling for $hhh$ can receive a significant radiative correction due to nondecoupling one-loop contributions of the additional charged scalar bosons. We find that the same nondecoupling mechan…
We consider various processes of single top production at LHC in the theoretical framework of the MSSM and examine the role of the supersymmetric electroweak one-loop corrections in a special moderately light SUSY scenario, in an initial parton-pair c.m. high energy range where a logarithmic asymptotic expansion of Sudakov type can be used. We show that the electroweak virtual effects are systematically large, definitely beyond the relative ten percent size, particularly for a final $tH^-$ pair where a special enhancement is present. We show then in a qualitative way the kind of precision test…
Electroweak radiative corrections can be evaluated in the Sudakov approximation, a systematic high energy expansion known to be relevant for the analysis of future collider experiments in the TeV energy range. In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model and at next-to-leading order, Sudakov electroweak corrections satisfy remarkable relations at the one loop level. Explicit computations in component fields are available for various different $2\to 2$ processes relevant for Linear Collider or LHC physics. The Sudakov corrections turn out to be equal or closely related in several classes of pro…
The electroweak corrections of order ${\cal O}(α_{\rm em} m^2_{t,b}/m^2_w)$ and ${\cal O}(α_{\rm em} m^3_{t,b}/m^3_w)$ to Higgs boson associated production with top quark pair are calculated at $e^+e^-$ colliders in the standard model (SM), the two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM) and the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). These corrections are a few percent in general, and in the MSSM they can be over ten percent for favorable parameter values allowing by current precise experiments. The total cross sections including the electroweak corrections get their maximal near $\sqrt{s} = 700$GeV…
We examine the Higgs mass parameters and electroweak symmetry breaking in supersymmetric orbifold field theories in which the 4-dimensional Higgs fields originate from higher-dimensional gauge supermultiplets. It is noted that such gauge-Higgs unification leads to a specific boundary condition on the Higgs mass parameters at the compactification scale, which is independent of the details of supersymmetry breaking mechanism. With this boundary condition, phenomenologically viable parameter space of the model is severely constrained by the condition of electroweak symmetry breaking for supersymm…
In this paper we propose a novel supersymmetric inverse seesaw model which has only one additional $Z_6$ symmetry. The field content is minimal to get a viable neutrino spectrum at tree-level. Interestingly, the inverse seesaw scale in our model is related to the scale of electroweak symmetry breaking. Due to that origin we are less biased about hierarchies and discuss three different types of the inverse seesaw mechanism with different phenomenologies. We can successfully reproduce neutrino masses and mixing and our model is consistent with current bounds on neutrinoless double beta decay, no…
We study the electroweak phase transition in a supersymmetric version of the Standard Model, in which a gauge singlet superfield is added to the Higgs sector. We show that the order of the transition is determined by the trilinear soft supersymmetry breaking terms rather than by the $O ( m^{3} T )$ term in the 1-loop, $T\neq0$ corrections. This fact removes the Standard Model upper bound on the Higgs mass, $ m_{H} < 55 GeV$, coming from the requirement that baryon asymmetry is not washed out by anomalous electroweak processes. We perform a numerical analysis of parameter space including in the…
We study the finite-temperature effective potential of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model in the full (mA, tan(beta)) parameter space. As for the features of the electroweak phase transition, we identify two possible sources of significant differences with respect to the Standard Model: a stop sector with little supersymmetry breaking makes the phase transition more strongly first-order, whereas a light CP-odd neutral boson weakens its first-order nature. After including the leading plasma effects, T=0 radiative corrections due to top and stop loops, and the most important experimental …
We investigated the electroweak corrections from one-loop diagrams involving the third generation (s)quarks to the decay width of process $\tildeχ_1^+ \to W^+ \tildeχ_1^{0}$ in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Our calculation shows that these corrections are not very sensitive to the mass of the lightest neutralino $\tildeχ_1^{0}$ and the sbottom mixing angle $θ_{b}$, but depend strongly on the top squark mixing angle $θ_{t}$ and tan$β$. With our chosen parameters, we find that these radiative corrections can exceed 10%, therefore they should be taken into account fo…
We use the two loop effective potential to study the first order electroweak phase transition in the minimial supersymmetric standard model. A global search of the parameter space is made to identify parameters compatible with electroweak baryogenesis. We improve on previous such studies by fully incorporating squark and Higgs boson mixing, by using the latest experimental constraints, and by computing the latent heat and the sphaleron rate. We find the constraints tan beta > 2.1, top squark mass < 172 GeV, and Higgs mass < 107 GeV (becoming more or less restrictive if the heavy stop has mass …
Using the effective Lagrangian method, we analyze the electroweak corrections to the anomalous dipole moments of lepton from some special two-loop diagrams where a closed neutralino/chargino loop is inserted into relevant two Higgs doublet one-loop diagrams in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model with CP violation. Considering the translational invariance of loop momenta and the electromagnetic gauge invariance, we get all dimension 6 operators and derive their coefficients. After applying equations of motion to the external leptons, we obtain the anomalous dipole moments…
We present the up to now most precise evaluation of electroweak and supersymmetric contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon \amu, describing in detail also the calculational techniques. We calculate the bosonic two-loop contributions in the Standard Model without the approximation of a heavy Higgs-boson mass, finding corrections up to 0.2*10^{-10} for a light Higgs boson. In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model the corresponding two-loop contributions from the two-Higgs-doublet model part differ from the Standard Model result by up to 0.3*10^{-10}. Finally, we evaluate t…
We construct models in which electroweak symmetry is spontaneously broken by supersymmetric strong dynamics at the TeV scale. The order parameter is a composite of scalars, and the longitudinal components of the W and Z are strongly-coupled bound states of scalars. The usual phenomenological problems of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking are absent: the sign of the S parameter unconstrained in strongly interacting SUSY theories, and fermion masses are generated without flavor-changing neutral currents or large corrections to the rho parameter. The lightest neutral Higgs scalar can be heav…
We study the baryon asymmetry of the universe in the supersymmetric standard model (SSM). At the electroweak phase transition, the fermionic partners of the charged SU(2) gauge bosons and Higgs bosons are reflected from or transmitted to the bubble wallof the broken phase. Owing to a physical complex phase in their mass matrix, these reflections and transmissions have asymmetries between CP conjugate processes. Equilibrium conditions in the symmetric phaseare then shifted to favor a non-vanishing value for the baryon number density, which is realized through electroweak anomaly. We show that t…
In the electroweak phase transition there arises the problem of baryon number washout by sphaleron transitions, which can be avoided if the phase transition is strongly enough first order. The phase transition in the Standard Model or in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model seems to be too weak to suppress the sphaleron transitions sufficiently. We report here on an investigation of the Next to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, NMSSM, which contains a Higgs singlet N in addition to the two Higgs doublets of the minimal SUSY model. This next to minimal model has the helpful new featur…
We compute the three-dimensional effective action for the minimal supersymmetric standard model, which describes the light modes of the theory near the finite-temperature electroweak phase transition, keeping the one-loop corrections from the third generation quarks and squarks. Using the lattice results of Kajantie {\it et al.}\ for the phase transition in the same class of 3-D models, we find that the strength of the phase transition is sufficient for electroweak baryogenesis, in much broader regions of parameter space than have been indicated by purely perturbative analyses. In particular w…
We discuss a strongly-coupled extended Higgs sector with the 126 GeV Higgs boson, which is a low-energy effective theory of the supersymmetric SU(2)$_H$ gauge thoery that causes confinement. In this effective theory, we study the parameter region where electroweak phase transition is of strongly first order, as required for successful electroweak baryogenesis. In such a parameter region, the model has a Landau pole at the order of 10 TeV, which corresponds to the confinement scale of the SU(2)$_H$ gauge theory. We find that the large coupling constant which blows up at the Landau pole results …
Using dimensional reduction we construct an effective 3D theory of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at finite temperature. The final effective theory is obtained after three successive stages of integration out of massive particles. We obtain the full 1-loop relation between the couplings of the reduced theory and the underlying 4D couplings and masses. The procedure is also applied to a general two Higgs doublet model and the Next to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We analyze the effective 3D theory constructed for the MSSM to determine the regions of parameter space for which…
We investigate the supersymmetric electroweak corrections to the decay widths of the CP-odd and the heavy CP-even Higgs bosons into chargino or neutralino pair in the framework of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. The corrections involve the contributions of the order $O(α_{ew} m_{t(b)}^3/m_W^3)$, $O(α_{ew} m_{t(b)}^2/m_W^2)$ and $O(α_{ew} m_{t(b)}/m_W)$. The detailed calculations of the electroweak corrections to the following decay processes: $A^0/H^0 \to \tildeχ^+_1 \tildeχ^-_1$ and $A^0/H^0 \to \tildeχ^0_2 \tildeχ^0_2$ are presented in this paper. We find that these relative corre…
