This paper reviews some of the most recent results from CDF and D0 experiments on searches for supersymmetry (SUSY) at the Tevatron. We focus on searches for chargino/neutralino, stop, sbottom, and long lived massive SUSY particles, on data samples up to ~1 fb-1. No signal was observed, and constraints are set on the SUSY parameter space.
A review of the status of searches for Supersymmetry at the Tevatron Collider as of the Summer of 1997. This is a new version of the previous review, substantially shortened to fit editorial guidelines, and significantly different to warrant a separate posting. To appear in "Perspectives on Supersymmetry", ed. G.L. Kane (World Scientific, Singapore).
The results for searches for Supersymmetry (SUSY) at the Tevatron Collider are summarized in this paper. We focus here on searches for trileptons and the lightest stop, as well as scenarios with R-parity violation and split supersymmetry. No significant excesses with respect to the Standard Model were observed and constraints are set on the SUSY parameter space.
The D0 and CDF experiments at the proton-antiproton collider Tevatron have extensively searched for the Higgs boson and signals of supersymmetry using a wide range of signatures. The status of these searches is reviewed with a focus on recent measurements.
These lectures contain an introduction to the search for supersymmetry at hadron colliders. The Tevatron is one of high-energy physics most sophisticated tools. The high center-of-mass energy of its proton-antiproton collisions makes it an ideal place to search for physics beyond the Standard Model, such as supersymmetry. Two experiments, CDF and DØ, completed a long data taking period in summer of 1995, yielding over $100 p b^{-1}$ of proton-- antiproton interactions. The data recorded by the experiments are still being analysed. The lectures outline the strategies in the search for supersymm…
This document is a brief review of some of the most relevant searches for Supersymmetry carried out at the Tevatron and the LHC collider experiments, until the end of August 2011. Different final states covering R-parity conserving and violating scenarios have been scrutinized and no significant deviation from the Standard Model has been observed. As a result, new limits on the Supersymmetry parameter space have been established.
We present the current status of searches for supersymmetry performed at the Tevatron accelerator at Fermilab by the CDF and D0 collaborations using luminosity of up to 2.1 fb-1. We focus on searches for charginos, neutralinos, squarks, gluinos and sneutrinos in several supersymmetric scenarios. No supersymmetric signal is detected and limits on the masses and production cross sections for the supersymmetric particles are set.
CDF and D0 collaborations analyzed up to 200 pb-1 of the delivered data in search for different supersymmetry signatures, so far with negative results. We present results on searches for chargino and neutralino associated production, squarks and gluinos, sbottom quarks, gauge mediated SUSY breaking and long lived heavy particles.
Costraints for stop production in R-parity violating supersymmetry at Tevatron have been evaluated using the D0 limits for first generation leptoquarks. Such limits have been converted in constraints for the lambda'_131 R-parity violating coupling as a function of the stop mass for different Minimal Supersymmetric Standatd Model (MSSM) scenarios and compared with Atomic Parity Violation and HERA results. The D0 limits have also been interpreted in terms of constraints on the parameters of the minimal Supergravity model. For a part of the considered MSSM parameter space and for stop mass less t…
The Run II physics programme of the Tevatron is proceeding with more than 300 pb-1 of analysis quality data, collected at a centre-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. Searches for supersymmetric particles are starting to set new limits, improving over the LEP and Run I results and exploring new regions of parameter space. We present recent results in Supersymmetry with the upgraded CDF and DO detectors and give some prospects for the future of these searches.
CDF and DO detectors have already collected 1.3 fb^{-1} of data delivered by the Tevatron collider at 1.96 TeV center-of-mass energy. We present here the various analyses that are currently testing the possibility of a supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model. No evidence for such processes have been found in luminosities that range from 300 to 800 pb^{-1} and different limits on the different supersymmetric models are set. Constraints coming from indirect searches are also presented.
With almost 0.5fb-1 of ppbar-collisions delivered in Tevatron Run II, both experiments CDF and D0 are reporting first results from a vast number of search analyses. This article summarizes the current status of Tevatron searches for Higgs bosons within the Standard Model and its extensions as well as direct searches for supersymmetric particles. Signatures for production of squarks, gluinos, charginos and neutralinos as predicted by gravity- and gauge-mediated SUSY breaking scenarios have been considered. No evidence for Higgs bosons or SUSY particles has been found so far. New limits are deri…
Both Tevatron experiments, D0 and CDF, have searched for signs of Supersymmetry in the present Run II data sample, using integrated luminosities of up to 260/pb collected in ppbar collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96TeV. In these proceedings, new results are presented in the search for squarks and gluinos in the jets and missing transverse energy final state, associated production of charginos and neutralinos with multilepton final states, search for the rare decay B_s->mumu, searches allowing R-parity violation (muons+jets, multileptons), and searches in the gauge mediated supersymme…
We present a more detailed account of our study (hep-ph/9903238) for the supersymmetry reach of the Tevatron in channels with isolated leptons and identified tau jets. We review the theoretical motivations for expecting such signatures, and describe the relevant parameter space in the minimal supergravity and the minimal gauge-mediated models. With explicit Monte Carlo simulations we then show that for certain parameter ranges, channels with two leptons and one tau jet offer a better reach in Run II than the clean trilepton signal. We emphasize than improving on tau ID is an important prerequi…
We review the status of searches for Supersymmetry at the Tevatron Collider. After discussing the theoretical aspects relevant to the production and decay of supersymmetric particles at the Tevatron, we present the current results for Runs Ia and Ib as of the summer of 1997. To appear in the book "Perspectives in Supersymmetry", edited by G.L. Kane, World Scientific.
Recent advances in superconductor properties and superconducting magnet technology have made it possible to build cost-effective, high-performance dipoles with a field of 12 Tesla - 3 times the field strength of the Tevatron. Such magnets could be used to upgrade Fermilab's collider in its existing tunnel to a collision energy $\sqrt s$= 6 TeV and luminosity {$\cal L$}$>$ 10$^{33}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$. We have calculated the parton luminosities for quark-antiquark and gluon-gluon scattering for the Tevatron, the Tripler, and LHC. In most models of the Higgs field and supersymmetry, the Tripler w…
This paper discusses supersymmetry discovery potential of the upgraded DØexperiment at the Tevatron $p\bar{p}$ collider. Six final states with large transverse energy (momentum) leptons or photons (with or without large transverse momentum imbalances) are studied. These final states are expected to have small backgrounds and are thereby ideal for new physics searches. Implications of the analyses of these final states on Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking models are discussed for integrated luminosities of 2 and 30 1/fb. This study demonstrates that a large class of supersymmetry models can…
In this article results from supersymmetry searches at D0 and CDF are reported. Searches for third generation squarks, searches for gauginos, and searches for models with R-parity violation are described. As no signs of supersymmetry for these models are observed, the most stringent limits to date are presented.
We reviewed CDF and D0 searches for R-parity violation supersymmetry in leptons involved final states using up to 344+-21 pb-1 Tevatron Run II data of ppbar collisions at sqrt{s} = 1.96 TeV. All the results were in good agreement with the standard model expectations. No evidence of new physics was observed. However, owing to the improvement on detectors, energy and luminosity from Run I to Run II, the limits for the existence of R-parity violation supersymmetry have been greatly advanced.
In this note, recent results on the search for Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking (GMSB) and Anomaly Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking (AMSB) at the LEP and Tevatron colliders are summarized. We report on DZERO's search for GMSB in di-photon events with large missing transverse energy and discuss the sensitivity of similar searches based on future Tevatron integrated luminosities.
There are many theoretical reasons why heavy quasi-stable charged particles might exist. Pair production of such particles at the Tevatron can produce highly ionizing tracks (HITs) or fake muons. In gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking, sparticle production can lead to events with a pair of quasi-stable sleptons, a significant fraction of which will have the same electric charge. Depending on the production mechanism and the decay chain, they may also be accompanied by additional energetic leptons. We study the relative importance of the resulting signals for the Tevatron Run II. The relative…
In supersymmetric models with gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking, charged sleptons are the next lightest supersymmetric particles and decay outside the detector for large regions of parameter space. In such scenarios, supersymmetry may be discovered by searches for a number of novel signals, including highly ionizing tracks from long-lived slow charged particles and excesses of multi-lepton signals. We consider this scenario in detail and find that the currently available Tevatron data probes regions of parameter space beyond the kinematic reach of LEP II. Future Tevatron runs with integrat…
We analyze the prospects for discovering supersymmetry at the Fermilab Tevatron and CERN LEP colliders in the scenario that the lightest supersymmetric particle is a gravitino of mass < 1 keV. We consider in particular the case that the lightest neutralino has a nearly 100% branching fraction into gravitino + photon within the detector. This implies that supersymmetric events should contain both missing (transverse) energy and two energetic photons. Therefore one can search for supersymmetry simply through inclusive production of superpartners. We consider the exclusion and reach capabilities …
The results of search for Supersymmetry performed at the Tevatron Collider by the CDF and D0 collaborations are summarized in this paper. No significant deviations with respect to the Standard Model expectations were observed and constraints were set on supersymmetric parameters.
The signatures for low energy supersymmetry breaking at the Tevatron are investigated. It is natural that the lightest standard model superpartner is an electroweak neutralino, which decays to an essentially massless Goldstino and photon, possibly within the detector. In the simplest models of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking, the production of right-handed sleptons, neutralinos, and charginos leads to a pair of hard photons accompanied by leptons and/or jets with missing transverse energy. The relatively hard leptons and softer photons of the single $e^+e^- γγ+ \EmissT$ event observed by…
We quantitatively explore, in the context of the D0 detector at the Tevatron, three very different techniques for observing delayed decays of the lightest neutralino of a simple gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking (GMSB) model to photon plus gravitino. It is demonstrated that the delayed-decay signals considered can greatly increase the region of general GMSB parameter space for which supersymmetry can be detected. In the simple class of models considered, the combination of standard supersymmetry signals and delayed-decay signals potentially yields at least one viable signal for nearly all …
We summarize a discovery potential for supersymmetric particles at the \ppbar collider of Tevatron with center-of-mass energy \sqrt{s} = 2 TeV and integrated luminosity $\intlum$ = 15-30 \invfb. Any direct search is kinematically limited to below 450 \mgev. We, however, have a unique opportunity to test various supersymmetric scenarios by a measurement of the branching ratio for the rare decay mode \bsmumu. Using the background estimate in the CDF analysis of \bsmumu in Run I, we investigate the prospects for studying this mode in Run II. CDF would be sensitive to this decay for a branching ra…
A long-standing discrepancy between the bottom-quark production cross section and predictions of perturbative quantum chromodynamics is addressed. We show that pair production of light gluinos, of mass 12 to 16 GeV, with two-body decays into bottom quarks and light bottom squarks, yields a bottom-quark production rate in agreement with hadron collider data. We examine constraints on this scenario from low-energy data and make predictions that may be tested at the next run of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider.
This article presents recent results of searches for Supersymmetry using the CDF and the D$\not$O detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. Described are the Tevatron searches for third generation scalar quarks and for supersymmetric signatures involving photons. All the reported results have been obtained assuming theoretical models in which $\mathcal{R}$-parity is conserved.
The CDF and DØcollaborations continue to search for new physics using more than 100~pb$^{-1}$ of \xxbar{p} collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.8$ TeV collected at the Fermilab Tevatron. We present recent results from both experiments on R-parity violating Supersymmetry and $Z'$/Technicolor production with $ee$ and \xxbar{t} final states. In addition we introduce Sherlock, a new quasi-model-independent search strategy.
In supersymmetric models, Winos, partners of the SU(2) gauge bosons, may be the lightest supersymmetric particles (LSPs). For generic parameters, charged and neutral Winos are highly degenerate. Charged Winos travel macroscopic distances, but can decay to neutral Winos and extremely soft leptons or pions before reaching the muon chambers, thereby circumventing conventional trigger requirements based on energetic decay products or muon chamber hits. However, these charginos are detectable, and can be triggered on when produced in association with jets. In addition, we propose a new trigger for …
Recent results on searches for new physics at Run II of the Tevatron are reported. The searches cover many different final states and previous hints of signals, but all analyses have at this point led to negative results.
We present recent results from searches for new physics beyond supersymmetry performed at the Tevatron accelerator at Fermilab. The CDF and D0 analyses presented here utilized data of integrated luminosity up to 6 fb-1. We cover leptonic and bosonic resonances interpreted in the Randall-Sundrum graviton and new-boson models, rare final states, and the search for vector-like quarks.
Tevatron Experiments: CDF and D$\not$O collected during October 1992 and February 1996 (Run I) a data sample of roughly 120 $pb^{-1}$ $ p \bar{p}$ collisions at a center of mass energy $\sqrt{s}=$ 1.8 TeV. A large variety of physical studies have been performed using these data. Current paper reviews last results obtained searching for physics beyond the Standard Model. Direct Supersymmetry (SUSY) searches are not part of this review.
The CDF and DO experiments have collected and analyzed about 300 inverse picobarns of data during the Run II of the Tevatron. Results of searches for new non supersymmetric particles based on these datasets will be presented.
Numerous searches for new phenomena have been carried out using data from proton-antiproton collisions at Fermilab's Tevatron. Final states with leptons give signatures which are relatively unique and generally have small backgrounds. We present many of the latest results from the CDF and D0 collaborations from 0.4-1.2 fb^-1 of data. Topics include supersymmetry, extra gauge bosons, Randall-Sundrum gravitons, excited electrons and neutral, long-lived particles.
We present an overview of the full range of Higgs searches in models beyond the Standard Model at the Tevatron. This includes both searches for Fermiophobic Higgs and for SUSY Higgs at high tan beta. No excess is seen in the data, so model dependent limits are set.
In the following, we describe preliminary results of searches for non-SM higgs bosons at the CDF and D0 experiments. Both experiments use data obtained in pp-bar collisions at the Tevatron at sqrt(s)=1.96 TeV.
We report on selected recent results from the CDF and D0 experiments on searches for physics beyond the Standard Model using data from the Tevatron collider running $p\bar p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 1960 GeV.
SM and MSSM Higgs Searches at the proton anti-proton collider Tevatron in Run II are presented. The performance of the collider and the two experiments D0 and CDF is shown. No deviation from SM background expectation and no MSSM Higgs signal has been observed.
Results are presented for beyond the Standard Model Higgs boson searches using up to 8.2 invfb of data from Run II at the Tevatron. No significant excess is observed in any of the channels so 95% confidence level limits are presented.
We summarize the status of SM Higgs boson searches at the Fermilab Tevatron performed by the CDF and DØcollaborations, with an emphasis on measurements at large Higgs mass, and derive sensitivity prospects for the upcoming increase in integrated luminosity.
I review recent searches for physics beyond the standard model from the CDF and D0 experiments at the Fermilab Tevatron collider, covering searches for fourth generation quarks, exotic resonances, universal extra dimensions, and dark matter particles.
We present the most recent results of searches for physics beyond the Standard Model using the CDF and the D$\not$O detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. All results shown correspond to analysis performed using the past 1992-1996 Fermilab Tevatron run I data (roughly 110 $pb^{-1}$ per each experiment). In particular we report on searches for scalar top and scalar bottom particles together with other {\it classic} Supersymmetry analysis. Results from non Standard Model Higgs searches are also summarized.
I describe recent signature-based searches for anomalous physics processes using up to 2.9/fb of data from the CDF or D0 detectors at the Fermilab Tevatron. While each search conveys its sensitivity by interpreting a null result in terms of one or more specific exotic models, the searches are designed to be broadly sensitive to many models.
We present the results of searches for non-standard model phenomena in photon and jet final states. These searches use data from integrated luminosities of 0.7--2.7/fb of p-pbar collisions at sqrt(s)=1.96 TeV, collected with the CDF and D0 detectors at the Fermilab Tevatron. No significant excess in data has been observed. We report limits on the parameters of several models, including: large extra dimension, compositeness, leptoquarks, and supersymmetry.
The Tevatron collider has provided the CDF and D0 experiences with large datasets as input to a rich program of searches for physics beyond the standard model. The results presented here are a partial survey of recent searches conducted by the two collaborations using up to 6 /fb of data.
Results are presented for beyond the Standard Model Higgs boson searches using up to 4.2 fb-1 of data from Run II at the Tevatron. No significant excess is observed in any of the channels so 95% confidence level limits are presented.
One of the highest priority physics goals for the upgraded Tevatron experiments, CDF and D0, is the search for the Higgs boson. We present the initial results from both experiments, based on 40--90 pb$^{-1}$ integrated luminosity, of Higgs searches in several final states, including $WH$ and $ZH$, $H\to WW$, and doubly-charged Higgs.
We present some new results on searches for new physics at the Tevatron Run 1 (1992 -- 1996). The topics covered are searches for R-Parity violating and conserving mSUGRA, large extra dimensions in di-photon and monojet channels, leptoquark in jets + missing Et channel, and two model independent searches. All results were finalized during the past year.
Recent results on searches for new physics at Run II of the Tevatron and highlights from HERA are reported. The searches cover many different final states and a wide range of models. All analyses have at this point led to negative results, but some interesting anomalies have been found.
Search for non-Standard-Model Higgs bosons is one of the major goals of the ongoing Fermilab Tevatron run. Large data sets accumulated by the CDF and D0 experiments break new grounds in sensitivity. We review recent Tevatron results on searches for Higgs bosons in Minimal Supersymmetric Model in the multi b-jet and tau-tau final states, as well as a search for fermiophobic Higgs in the multiphoton final state.
I present a review of the searches for charginos and neutralinos using data from proton-antiproton collision at the centre of mass energy of 1.96 TeV collected by the CDF and the D0 experiments at the Tevatron during run II.
The CDF and D0 collaborations have results on a large number of searches for beyond-the-standard-model phenomena. This talk focuses on searches for non-supersymmetric model signatures. These results, based on between 1--2.5 fb-1 of data from p pbar collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron, include some of the world's best limits on extra dimensions models and heavy resonances.
This article summarizes the status of the Tevatron Run II searches for leptoquarks in $p\bar{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.96 $ TeV. The analyses discussed use datasets with integrated luminosities ranging from 72 pb$^{-1}$ to 200 pb$^{-1}$.}
As the integrated luminosity of the Run II Tevatron increases, the sensitivity to new physics is approaching and in some cases surpassing that previously attained in Run I. Presented below are a selection of new results from searches for physics beyond the Standard Model at the CDF and D0 experiments.
We report on results obtained at the Tevatron by the CDF and D0 collaborations up to June 2008 (2.4 fb-1), on searches for standard model (SM) Higgs bosons having a high mass (135-200 GeV). High mass Higgs bosons decay dominantly in WW and the presented searches are performed in the leptonic decay modes of the W's. Both direct production (ppbar -> H) and associated production (ppbar -> WH) are studied and eventually combined with all channels available at the Tevatron. Prospects for SM Higgs searches with the full projected Tevatron statistics are also given.
